I was told I'm not allowed to ask them to change there gloves or any thing else from the hours of 11am-3pm per the manager who was standing right there. She said I was holding up the other customers (there was one other person who hadn't even gotten in line yet) so just me. She gave me a whole lecture on how my asking them to change there gloves was a huge inconvenience to everyone working there and she would NOT do this for me again. I needed to eat somewhere else or come back after 3pm. I make it a point to come when there not busy. This was embarrassing, because she followed the worker who was serving my food all the way down the line. Now there was people behind me because she made all 8 employs who were working the line (more then I have ever seen) stand there and listen to her tell me how I'm "being a huge inconvenience to her" I apologized a few times. I just wanted to hide! After I left I wanted to cry, it's hard enough with out getting a public lashing. I was mad at my self for apologizing. I didn't want to eat the food after because at the end the manager reached in and grabbed the toppings with her dirty gloved and topped my meal, she looked at me and said, she needed help, she didn't know what you were asking for. Uugh! Worst service ever! If your up for a public lashing about how your "Allergy" (yes she did air quotes) is inconveniencing everybody you should come here.
No
They are not trained in GF preparation. Only 1 person knew English and could collaborate with me. After saying so, they did change out the spoons and gloves and walk all the way down with me which was pretty good.
Chipotle does not have a gluten free menu but instead has a list of gluten-containing ingredients to avoid. Cross-contamination is a concern, however, so let the person taking your order know that you are gluten free and if you need them to take the proper precautions.
From their website: "If you avoid gluten, don't eat our flour tortillas. If you are highly sensitive to gluten and would like us to change our gloves, just let us know at the start of your order. You should be aware items containing corn, including corn tortillas (chips, soft corn, and crispy corn tortillas) and corn salsa, may have a small amount of gluten from potentially co-mingling with gluten-containing grains in the field."
My favorite chipotle! If I order on the app, I label my meal as “name + gluten allergy”. The staff always changes their gloves before handling my bowl. I’ve never gotten sick!

We asked to eat Gluten Free. The person in charge along with line workers changed gloves, wiped surfaces, got out new serving utensils, got all fresh food needed for our orders and made our bowls. We appreciated their thoroughness and concern.

Yay for the Westview Chipotle in Frederick! I told the woman behind the counter that I have Celiac's and she immediately changed her gloves and personally handled my order thru the entire serving line.
I should have waited a few hours before giving my review. Even though the woman who served me did her best, there was still cross contamination. A couple hours later I had bloating and was running for a bathroom. Sorry but Chipotle is not Celiac Friendly.

Let me start off by saying, WOW. Never have I ever felt co fident in ordering from a non dedicated place before but they employees were EXTREMELY knowledgeable. I asked what they are gf procedures are and right away the nice employe wiped off the counter and without me having to ask he got all the ingredients fresh from the back with clean gloves and a new bowl. He was super nice and friendly, I will 100% be back here again. Seriously this is the place to go if your in the area.
