One of the better tasting Chipotles I've been to, portion is definately skimpy in comparison to other stores. Guy working the starting station was super rude and acted like an idiot, so I doubt having him make everything safe for me was something he'd comprehend, hopefully I don't get sick. Would have walked out if the kiddos weren't starving and we hadn't waited the 30 mins to order. Not from this area (traveling thru), so marking it as a no stop on our list.
I consider this Chipotle location very safe for celiacs. I have eaten there several times with no reaction. Tell the server you need gluten-free and they wash their hands and put on fresh gloves. That person then carries your bowl down the line to add each of the ingredients you choose. They open a new tub of cheese and lettuce, if you request those toppings. The servings are large enough that my wife and I share one bowl along with chips. I strongly recommend this restaurant for celacs.
Yes
Chipotle does not have a gluten free menu but instead has a list of gluten-containing ingredients to avoid. Cross-contamination is a concern, however, so let the person taking your order know that you are gluten free and if you need them to take the proper precautions.
From their website: "If you avoid gluten, don't eat our flour tortillas. If you are highly sensitive to gluten and would like us to change our gloves, just let us know at the start of your order. You should be aware items containing corn, including corn tortillas (chips, soft corn, and crispy corn tortillas) and corn salsa, may have a small amount of gluten from potentially co-mingling with gluten-containing grains in the field."
Besides the fact this location is not my favorite do to being slow and skimping you on everything. It is a go to for a gluten free bowl. Do not get the lettuce or cheese because there is cross contamination going on there because everyone puts there hands (with gloves on) into after they handle the flour tortillas. Everything else is handled with spoons.
My favorite chipotle! If I order on the app, I label my meal as “name + gluten allergy”. The staff always changes their gloves before handling my bowl. I’ve never gotten sick!

We asked to eat Gluten Free. The person in charge along with line workers changed gloves, wiped surfaces, got out new serving utensils, got all fresh food needed for our orders and made our bowls. We appreciated their thoroughness and concern.

Yay for the Westview Chipotle in Frederick! I told the woman behind the counter that I have Celiac's and she immediately changed her gloves and personally handled my order thru the entire serving line.
I should have waited a few hours before giving my review. Even though the woman who served me did her best, there was still cross contamination. A couple hours later I had bloating and was running for a bathroom. Sorry but Chipotle is not Celiac Friendly.

Let me start off by saying, WOW. Never have I ever felt co fident in ordering from a non dedicated place before but they employees were EXTREMELY knowledgeable. I asked what they are gf procedures are and right away the nice employe wiped off the counter and without me having to ask he got all the ingredients fresh from the back with clean gloves and a new bowl. He was super nice and friendly, I will 100% be back here again. Seriously this is the place to go if your in the area.
