I went there and told them i had a gluten allergy. ,(i have celiac disease) they didnt seem to care. The person looked at me like she didnt understand me. Then another worker put on new gloves and with an attituted began to take me order. I told her i had a gluten allergy and wanted to make sure i didnt pick anything with gluten . Then she looked at me and said i changed my gloves and showed me her gloves. I wont go back here, i felt like crying just really bad experience.
Asked three times for spoons and gloves to be changed. Nobody seemed to care or understand. Explained I am sensitive to cross contamination. The person starting my order was going to use the same bowl he was holding before changing gloves. Unbelievable experience. Do not come here unless they get some training.
No
Chipotle does not have a gluten free menu but instead has a list of gluten-containing ingredients to avoid. Cross-contamination is a concern, however, so let the person taking your order know that you are gluten free and if you need them to take the proper precautions.
From their website: "If you avoid gluten, don't eat our flour tortillas. If you are highly sensitive to gluten and would like us to change our gloves, just let us know at the start of your order. You should be aware items containing corn, including corn tortillas (chips, soft corn, and crispy corn tortillas) and corn salsa, may have a small amount of gluten from potentially co-mingling with gluten-containing grains in the field."
If you stick to the bowls you'll be ok. If you have corn tortillas you'll get poisoned. The people in this store, in general, don't like to be inconvenienced. :-/
The didn't really know what I was talking about. The lady who served me said she wasn't allowed to leave her station but the other lady's didn't want to change there gloves. I will admit I went at a very busy time. Half way through someone told one of the other lady's to man the first spot so the line started moving again. Up until then all four lady's just stood back and let the First Lady work. The cash register lady told the other lady where to find the in contaminated items. At the end she asked what I was allergic to and I told her the flour tortillas. She said OH! Now I get it, we have never had someone ask us to do this before. She then apologized. Over all it was ok and I was able to eat my food feeling safe. I felt bad I went at such a busy time. The three states was because there was a lot of eye rolling in the beginning, I think now it was not because of me but the other lady's not helping her but I asked her to stop because I was already uncomfortable.
Yes
Once again Chipotle comes through with a great GF meal.
Yes
I appreciate their variety of gluten free options. My daughter complains about the beans being spicy but she’s just a picky eater overall. She does enjoy the rice, queso, chicken, chips, etc. I like that I can get her a full kids meal here.

A manger is celiac and makes an effort however there is a lot of cross contamination and any type of veggie will have gluten contamination because the quesadillas are cut on the same cutting boards all veggies are cut on with minimal sanitizing and no discretion of which one is veggies only

Yikes. I've seen some Chipotle's that are fairly safe but today was not it. The server knew what cross contamination was, and she changed gloves, washed her hands, wiped down the counter, but while she was wiping everything down crumbs were falling back into the bins, and I was watching them serve before hand and the ladles would brush right against the tortillas before going back into the containers. It was probably right after the rush too. Didn't even bother ordering because I knew I'd be sick.
