This location has stepped up their protections for folks with Celiac. I asked for a glove change because I have Celiac and they sprang into action removing the spoons from every item I was getting and getting fresh containers of lettuce and cheese. This is not a gluten free environment, but they took every precaution.
Chipotle does not have a gluten free menu but instead has a list of gluten-containing ingredients to avoid. Cross-contamination is a concern, however, so let the person taking your order know that you are gluten free and if you need them to take the proper precautions.
From their website: "If you avoid gluten, don't eat our flour tortillas. If you are highly sensitive to gluten and would like us to change our gloves, just let us know at the start of your order. You should be aware items containing corn, including corn tortillas (chips, soft corn, and crispy corn tortillas) and corn salsa, may have a small amount of gluten from potentially co-mingling with gluten-containing grains in the field."
We went here on a night where the line was out the door. The guy working the counter was AMAZING. As soon as I told him my daughter was celiac, he immediately changed his gloves, changed out all the utensils, and wiped down the counter. He handled her bowl the whole time, never even putting it down on the counter. He definitely made it no big deal at all.
I got seriously sick after eating here and am writing this review while recovering from sickness. It's unfortunate because the staff was wonderful and took great precautions with my intolerance and even took stuff from the back to limit cross contamination. Will probably not be coming back to this location.
