This particular Chipotle is the best! And safe for optional dairy-free as well because they keep it tidy.

I have never had a bad experience--GF-wise or restaurant service-wise--at the Mass St. Chipotle. They're cool about cleaning everything if you ask, but I recommend avoiding the lunch and dinner rush.

Safe, yummy food! Whenever I tell them I have celiac they change gloves, and then that person makes my food all the way down the line. They even use new serving spoons. Nearly everything on the menu is gluten free so it’s nice to have so many options.

Just awesome. You tell them you have celiac, they wash their hands, put on fresh gloves, keep it with them til it’s done, and take cheese and lettuce from fresh bins that haven’t been touched with burrito rolling hands!

Do a good job of switching out all utensils for each topping. Often do not have the corn tortillas available and have to do a salad instead.

Pretty decent! Most of the staff are more than happy to change their gloves for you/ get a fresh serving of whatever. I’ve never gotten sick, but sometimes the staff members don’t know what I’m talking about when I say “gluten allergy,” so that’s why only 4 stars.

Wouldn't recommend. They clearly don't train employees anymore on how to deal with Celiac. We told the server 3x that we needed them to get new utensils and she only changed 1 spoon in the rice (but no other items in the bowl) before ignoring the request for proper procedure. I blame poor training on her inability to do what every other Chipotle has done. Still the place was practically empty and we stupidly took a chance that the bowls we ordered would be ok on the cross-contaminated gamble. They weren't and both of us got sick. Would not recommend for celiac at all.

Chipotle is usually my saving grace, but this one freaks me out sometimes. The person at the beginning station always handles tortillas heavily, and sometimes will put almost their entire gloved hand into the next bowl (more than other Chipotle’s do). I don’t think people here are very allergy conscious, but I’ve never had a contamination problem before. The food at this locale tastes better than most!!

Chipotle is my go to when traveling, but the experience varies depending on how well the staff are trained at each location. I’ve always had great luck here and at the downtown Indy location when it comes to knowledgeable staff. As for chipotle in general, I always ask them to change gloves and spoons (if they don’t automatically offer, which most will). Yes there is still a chance of cross contamination even when they switch utensils but I’ve never gotten sick. And they are always willing to open a fresh container of cheese if you ask, since the gloves touch the cheese directly

I went there and even though they changed the gloves, they use their hands to serve the lettuce and cheese! This restaurant is the most educated and caring when it comes to celiac. The line staff wash their hands, change gloves, and ask what items I would like so they can change out serving utensils. the only "gluten" item on their menu is the burrito. so you can do the tacos, burrito bowls or burrito with a corn tortilla. same with their quesadillas. The manager came up during my first visit and made me feel extremly comfortable. I can confidently eat here and not worry about how I'm going to feel in the morning. THANK YOU!!!

Notes
Chipotle does not have a gluten free menu but instead has a list of gluten-containing ingredients to avoid. Cross-contamination is a concern, however, so let the person taking your order know that you are gluten free and if you need them to take the proper precautions.

From their website: "If you avoid gluten, don't eat our flour tortillas. If you are highly sensitive to gluten and would like us to change our gloves, just let us know at the start of your order. You should be aware items containing corn, including corn tortillas (chips, soft corn, and crispy corn tortillas) and corn salsa, may have a small amount of gluten from potentially co-mingling with gluten-containing grains in the field."
