This location unfortunately has steadily gone downhill, and I no longer trust eating here due to cross contamination, careless staff, and uncleanliness.

I’m amazed that this got good reviews, for celiacs it is unsafe. I asked the guy taking my order to change his gloves as it was for an allergy, he did but seemed a little put off by it actually. But anyway, he started my bowl and then passed it on to someone that hadn’t changed their gloves and had been touching a tortilla immediately before. Also, I’m sure touch the ladles to the tortillas at times, there’s no way they don’t in this situation. And one of them even grabbed shredded cheese with her gloved hand that had been touching a tortilla. I am unsure how anyone with celiac would feel safe eating here...

Love this place! Pretty much everything is gluten free except for the flour tortillas. Of course I would always double check their allergy information online for any changes. Never had a problem eating here. My go to fast food place.

Chipotle does not have a gluten free menu but instead has a list of gluten-containing ingredients to avoid. Cross-contamination is a concern, however, so let the person taking your order know that you are gluten free and if you need them to take the proper precautions.
From their website: "If you avoid gluten, don't eat our flour tortillas. If you are highly sensitive to gluten and would like us to change our gloves, just let us know at the start of your order. You should be aware items containing corn, including corn tortillas (chips, soft corn, and crispy corn tortillas) and corn salsa, may have a small amount of gluten from potentially co-mingling with gluten-containing grains in the field."
They are very nice and will always change gloves when asked. I have never in my life gotten sick, and I have eaten here a lot.
If you eat here you cannot get a burrito or a taco, but you can get a bowl! The bowls have all the same stuff that the burritos and tacos have, except for the shell/wrap/tortilla. Everything they put inside the food is gluten free. The chips are also all gluten-free corn chips.

I swear, every Chipotle I go to gets better about their gluten free standards! When I told them I had Celiac, I asked them to wash their hands and change their gloves, and they not only did that, but they also washed off the counter and changed out all of the spoons!!! Phenomenal service!!!!!!

Based on others' reviews, I stopped at the Chipotle in Fairview Heights, IL, hungry and eager to try their menu.
I walked in, up to the counter, and asked for gluten free options or a menu. The counter stared at me as if I had asked him for drugs, and looked around helplessly.
I told him to forget and walked out, not wanting to stand around while he hunted up someone.
Eat here once to twice a week, never any issues. They will change out utensils and wipe counters as well as gloves. Super accommodating!

BEST gluten free service I have ever seen! We will definetly be back!!
This particular restaurant is always friendly, knowledgable about the chain's gluten policies, and blazing quick. Been here several times and have not yet had cross-contamination issues.
Most gluten free friendly restaurant staff I have ever seen. Not only happily changed gloves but wiped everything down, changed utensils and got fresh cheese and lettuce from the back. Long time since I have eaten out with such confidence that I wasn't going to get sick!!!
Amazing staff with great attitude!!

Always a good choice when I need to eat out and know I am getting gluten free.

I appreciate their variety of gluten free options. My daughter complains about the beans being spicy but she’s just a picky eater overall. She does enjoy the rice, queso, chicken, chips, etc. I like that I can get her a full kids meal here.

A manger is celiac and makes an effort however there is a lot of cross contamination and any type of veggie will have gluten contamination because the quesadillas are cut on the same cutting boards all veggies are cut on with minimal sanitizing and no discretion of which one is veggies only

Yikes. I've seen some Chipotle's that are fairly safe but today was not it. The server knew what cross contamination was, and she changed gloves, washed her hands, wiped down the counter, but while she was wiping everything down crumbs were falling back into the bins, and I was watching them serve before hand and the ladles would brush right against the tortillas before going back into the containers. It was probably right after the rush too. Didn't even bother ordering because I knew I'd be sick.
