The lady that helped me was trained and knew exactly what to do for Celiac’s.
Yes
Ate there last night, The salad tasted good, and the gal serving me washed her hands and changed gloves when she heard I had celiac, but I'm feeling lousy today. :( so they tried really hard, but I don't think with all those flour tortillas, that they can promise gluten free, just friendly.
Chipotle does not have a gluten free menu but instead has a list of gluten-containing ingredients to avoid. Cross-contamination is a concern, however, so let the person taking your order know that you are gluten free and if you need them to take the proper precautions.
From their website: "If you avoid gluten, don't eat our flour tortillas. If you are highly sensitive to gluten and would like us to change our gloves, just let us know at the start of your order. You should be aware items containing corn, including corn tortillas (chips, soft corn, and crispy corn tortillas) and corn salsa, may have a small amount of gluten from potentially co-mingling with gluten-containing grains in the field."
Great GF menu options, but the guy who made my meal didn't change his gloves and reached for the lettuce for my burrito bowl with his hands (that had just handled lots of flour tortillas). I removed the lettuce, but still got SO sick. This chain is usually safe though!

Great location, the people there were understanding and even pulled lettuce and cheese from a new container before I even had to ask.
Yes
I find Chipotle a to be a mixed bag. in theory it's gluten free besides the tortillas. but I find myself getting some sickness after I eat there. I think it's probably cross contamination from the tortillas or something else in the condiment bins. there is no control to keep the flour from the tortillas off of the other condiments.
Great healthy choice, esp., being a otr driver with my boyfriend. We are both very health conscious, and with, my recent GF/celiac disease and dairy allergy.... we really enjoy the food, flavors etc. I did, however, get sick but thinking it was either the salsa (white vinegar) or three guacamole?
My favorite chipotle! If I order on the app, I label my meal as “name + gluten allergy”. The staff always changes their gloves before handling my bowl. I’ve never gotten sick!

We asked to eat Gluten Free. The person in charge along with line workers changed gloves, wiped surfaces, got out new serving utensils, got all fresh food needed for our orders and made our bowls. We appreciated their thoroughness and concern.

Yay for the Westview Chipotle in Frederick! I told the woman behind the counter that I have Celiac's and she immediately changed her gloves and personally handled my order thru the entire serving line.
I should have waited a few hours before giving my review. Even though the woman who served me did her best, there was still cross contamination. A couple hours later I had bloating and was running for a bathroom. Sorry but Chipotle is not Celiac Friendly.

Let me start off by saying, WOW. Never have I ever felt co fident in ordering from a non dedicated place before but they employees were EXTREMELY knowledgeable. I asked what they are gf procedures are and right away the nice employe wiped off the counter and without me having to ask he got all the ingredients fresh from the back with clean gloves and a new bowl. He was super nice and friendly, I will 100% be back here again. Seriously this is the place to go if your in the area.
