Notes

Chipotle does not have a gluten free menu but instead has a list of gluten-containing ingredients to avoid. Cross-contamination is a concern, however, so let the person taking your order know that you are gluten free and if you need them to take the proper precautions. From their website: "If you avoid gluten, don't eat our flour tortillas. If you are highly sensitive to gluten and would like us to change our gloves, just let us know at the start of your order. You should be aware items containing corn, including corn tortillas (chips, soft corn, and crispy corn tortillas) and corn salsa, may have a small amount of gluten from potentially co-mingling with gluten-containing grains in the field."

Great Staff and Great Food! One of my go to places for a rice or salad bowl!

They have a gluten free menu online. Don’t expect the workers to know what items are gluten free or safe to eat. The cashier told me I could eat their normal flour tortillas. I ended up getting guac.

I went there yesterday and none of the employees even knew what gluten was when I tried to talk to them about it. The girl making my food wouldn't even listen to me and didn't change her gloves and there was cross-contamination all over the place. I will not go back!

Food is Soo good and the only thing we can't have is the tortillas!! All precautions for cross contact were taken by changing gloves and spoons for each item I ate. I'll be back for sure!

I was super surprised on how they took it seriously. I said to the girl working I have Celiacs and she immediately changed gloves washed her hands and didn’t let anyone else touch my order, I also ordered food for my non celiac husband and they bagged mine separately. 10/10 would go back

Do not go here, 3rd trip in a row of getting sick. In theory, Chipotle could be GF but servers here too often cross contaminate the utensils in turn contaminating the food.

I'm very sensitive and have eaten here dozens of times and never been sick. They are friendly and knowledgeable about the exact procedures for gluten free (occasionally you get a new employee that doesn't know exactly what to do but a manager will usually step in to help). They wash hands, change gloves, get fresh serving spoons from the back and should pull the toppings (the things they pick up with their hands) from underneath where they haven't been used before.

Chipotle is almost always a safe go-to choice for Celiacs wanting to get a bite to eat without getting sick. They will change there gloves and switch out the serving utensils for you as well as use the fresh cheese and lettuce as to avoid as much cross contamination as possible. Most locations(this one included) is knowledgabl and all chipotle's I have been to are always accommodating. As a super sensitive celiac I have gotten sick maybe 1 out a handful of visits but that can be avoided. Go at a time when they are not busy or when they open at 11am so you have time to order and its clean and they are more patient.

Great Chipotle experience. Told them I was celiac and before I could finish my sentence the lady behind the counter began washing her hands, sanitizing, and changing gloves!

Usually my go to place for a quick meal when coming to Stockton. The staff is well trained, explain you're gluten intolerant and ask if they can change their gloves- they've got you covered.

This is my go to Chipotle since I live nearby and I get it all the time. I have not gotten sick yet and I don't ask for gloves changed every time. I usually base it off of if I saw a burrito made or tortilla touched, but usually when I go people get bowls. I am pretty sensitive and I have been fine here

This location is open. Haven’t had any issues here. It’s chipotle so same as every other location in terms of what is GF. Safe and quick option in this area.

I haven’t been here before so i was a little skeptical. i got to the front of the line and said i had celiac and the guy took his gloves off, went to the sink and washed up to his ELBOWS! he returned with new gloves and said he will guide me through the line so no one else can touch it so there won’t be any cross contamination! and they gave me xtra guac for free 😩🙏🏼 they rock!

Staff was not trained on the full allergy protocol to change gloves and switch spoons but was willing to do so once I explained it. They wiped down the counter and knew to wash hands & change gloves, at least. Fresh food and no issues. A good find for pre-airport food.

Been too three different locations with my daughter recently and every time the staff was great. As soon as I said she has celiac disease, they announced it to the whole team, changed gloves and changed spoons. One person took care of her order the whole way down the line. Although there is the slight chance that an earlier spoon came into contact with a flour tortilla and then went back into it's food bin, that seems to be the only chance of contamination. My daughter is really sensitive and has felt great after. It's clear that they teach their staff about allergies/celiac disease.

Have not had any gluten issues and the food is Chipotle good. Knocked off a star because the service is slooooow. Will never order on the app again, waited 30 minutes and watched the line go through twice while waiting. Another woman waiting was given a chicken meal because they’d run out of steak she’d ordered. No conversation, she was just handed chicken. After waiting over 30min, she just took it. Mentioning because there could be the same laxness with gluten, but I’ve been ok so far.

This was the worst Chipotle I have been to in terms of Celiac safe. The staff was untrained, not knowledgeable and rude. The employee did go to the back to wash his hands and put on new gloves. However they refused to use safe ingredients from the back. They told me they would only serve from the line. I explained the spoon may have touched the flour tortillas. They said there was no problem and brought out the cheese bag to show me the nutrition label - not helpful. They openly talked about us to each other and rolled their eyes. I then asked about their chips and they told me they are flour not corn. Unless there was a change they truly had no clue.

Have had good experiences here in the past but on this visit they were clearly touching the serving utensils to the flour tortillas as they were making the burritos. They seem pretty good on most protocols (glove changing, offering fresh cheese) but contaminating the rice unnecessarily is a pointless fail.

I love getting the burrito bowl. They are very clean and organized. You can see exactly what is going on with your food so if anything is going into it you don’t want or any cross contamination, but I’ve been happy with every order. Great people there and great food!

I've eaten at other Chipotle's and had no problem. But this one in the ATL airport was different. I told the first employee at the counter that I have a gluten allergy and asked her to change her gloves. She gave me *major* attitude and that look that makes you feel horrible for asking. She then proceeded to change her gloves, but did it at a snail's pace (I'm talking almost 4 minutes just to change gloves), making me feel even more terrible for making the people behind me wait (normally I wouldn't feel as bad but we're at an airport and I'm sure many people were trying to get to their gate to board). Once she came back she made my salad with meats and beans, and then passed in on to the next employee. I then asked him to change his gloves, which he was happy to do, but it still made everyone else behind me even more backed up. The first employee should have just made my meal the whole way to avoid this problem. While I was waiting for the second employee to change his gloves, the first employee made the customer behind me's burrito (clearly touching the flour burrito). She then *reached over and touched my bowl - the INSIDE of it - to push it over to make room*. I told them I could no longer eat it because she touched the food with contaminated gloves. I felt horrible for wasting the time of the customers in line behind me. And because this whole encounter took much longer than it was supposed to, I had to go straight to my flight and wasn't able to get any other food (that's my fault though, should've arrived earlier at the airport). Anyways, I'll continue to go to the Chipotles I know I can trust, but I will never come to the ATL airport Chipotle again.

Have gotten sick multiple times from this location. They frequently do not follow the protocols of having one person make your whole order, resulting in gluten contaminated gloves touching your food. Tired of getting sick; I will be going to a different location in the future.

I didn’t get sick here but I don’t know if I would eat here again it seemed too risky. They did change gloves and utensils but say they touched the tortilla and then dipped in the food it wouldn’t really matter if they changed the serving utensils or not. Looking back it was a risk I wouldn’t take again and I’m just lucky I didn’t get sick!

This location is kind of a hit or miss when is comes to wheat allergies/ celiac. It really depends on who is preparing the meal. I’d recommend asking for the manager, they seem to be most informed on how to handle this type of thing.
