I am not from around here and I am skeptical to order from unfamiliar places, but I told the server that I have celiac disease and she immediately changed her gloves, cleaned the area and changed out things that their gloves would have touched. I am so impressed!
Horrible every time! Inconsistent portions. Today a quarter of a portion! Seasoning is always inconsistent. No priority to the customers standing in line, online orders get filled first. Just go somewhere else.
Chipotle does not have a gluten free menu but instead has a list of gluten-containing ingredients to avoid. Cross-contamination is a concern, however, so let the person taking your order know that you are gluten free and if you need them to take the proper precautions.
From their website: "If you avoid gluten, don't eat our flour tortillas. If you are highly sensitive to gluten and would like us to change our gloves, just let us know at the start of your order. You should be aware items containing corn, including corn tortillas (chips, soft corn, and crispy corn tortillas) and corn salsa, may have a small amount of gluten from potentially co-mingling with gluten-containing grains in the field."
It was my first time at a Chipotle and I was really impressed. Not only did the server change his gloves, he washed his hands as well. AND they put fresh food where needed to make sure there was no cross contamination. I will for sure return and HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. I have many allergies besides gluten and I had no negative reactions . I just enjoyed my delicious meal.
Staff was very knowledgeable about celiac and took all precautions when preparing my son’s meal. And, they were happy to!
Just tell them you have celiac and they’ll immediately change their gloves and wipe the down the line. Plus the bowls and salads are good.
Gluten-free friendly :) only reason I didn't do 5 stars is because they were not busy (2 other customers in whole restaurant) & we felt like we were rushed to order like they were in a big hurry, they could've been a little friendlier & slowed down a bit so we could understand them better. Other than that, awesome food!!!
They are very allergy friendly there and take great care to prevent cross contact
Cross contamination got me even though I wrote on order that I had celiacs AND called to make sure they saw it. Not sure what was done to prevent but from my reaction, worst ever, they didn’t do anything.
As a mom of a recently celiac diagnosed kiddo (11yo), we are still learning how to adjust. Based on other reviews here we decided to try this chipotle location. Wow. They did everything others said, washes hands, changed gloves, cleaned, changed spoons and only one person handled my sons food, then they bagged it separate so it wasn't touched. He was nervous cause some places made him feel like a burden, not here, he said he felt special and really appreciated how he was treated. The food was really good. We will definitely go back there.
We eat at chipotle frequently. They are willing to change gloves. All ingredients, besides flour tortillas, are Gluten free. Could be in issue with cross contamination for cheese and lettuce, but they sometime accommodate by using the fresh containers stored below.
I have mixed feelings about this location. I’ve had good and bad experiences here. The employees who have helped me look annoyed when I’ve mentioned that I have an allergy but they will change gloves. One employee walked away and tried to give my bowl to the next person before realizing his mistake. They also tried to put a wrapped tortilla in my bag 🥴.
