Took a group of 20 students here for a banquet. Chef gave me a tour of the buffet and pointed out what was safe to eat. The selections are limited. It’s mostly red sauce and meats, potatoes, and vegetables. They will make a gluten free pasta while you wait, ice cream is the only dessert. I was leery of the salad bar because it’s so easy to use tongs in the wrong bowl. I managed to not get sick, which surprised me. However the amount of salt in the food was overpowering and I skipped the dessert as I was worried the scoop would be cross contaminated.
I am gluten and dairy free and I am so impressed with this place. I’ve been coming here for years and years before I found out about my gluten intolerance and dairy allergy, but haven’t been back since because I figured there was nothing to eat. Boy was I wrong! Soooo many options. Chef was incredibly accommodating, walking me around to eat station. They special made ALL of my food to order, even dessert. So happy with my experience.
I've eaten here several times with no issues. The staff is very knowledgeable and the tour is great. I ate here Tuesday night, and had severe reactions. I ate the same foods I had before. I suspect some serving spoon got switched, or another customer dropped something into the otherwise safe food. Buffets are dangerous. I should have known better!
Make sure and ask for a gluten free tour. Someone will walk you around personally and let you know what is safe to eat. Very impressed!!
The manager and head chef will give you a tour and help you pick out what is safe! They also have gluten free pasta on request.
This was amazing I asked about the gluten free pasta and a chef came and pointed out every single thing that was gluten free. At the pasta counter you can ask him to make you gluten free pasta to order and he will make it how ever you want it. The chicken is fantastic and the mashed potatoes are pretty good. There are lots of options and there's ice cream!!
I was very satisfied with the selection of gf items. The chef pointed out all dishes that were gf, and since my memory isn't so good, I had to catch him again to double check on some items I wasn't sure about. They do have gf pasta, you just have to ask at that station for them to cook you some. I was able to eat more than just chicken dishes. The ribs and roast beef were gf also. So the person who said all he was told he could eat was chicken and salad must not have had a good chef on duty that night, or he was too busy and someone else gave the tour.
I don't understand how this restaurant has such high reviews. The manager told me I could eat chicken and the salad. Ha, no thanks.
This was our first time here being gluten free. The manager (Matt) was super friendly and ultra accommodating. He was very knowledgable and took us on a tour and pointed out everything that was safe for us to eat. Only thing that would make it better would be to have something else sweet to go with the ice cream for dessert.
We met some good friends there on 4/29/2014. I had read the previous reviews and I was not disappointed. The manager walked our entire group to all of the buffet stations and pointed out each gluten-free dish to me. This was the first time i have ever eaten anywhere and not had any kind of reaction. I would definitely eat here again. Another plus for us was that kids 12 and under eat free for two paying adults on Monday and Tuesday evenings. Drinks are not included in the cost though-so my only complaint would be the cost.
Went here with soccer team, 2 girls are Celiac and myself. Usually I stay away from buffet's but gave it a try due to other reviews. Manager took us through the buffet, there were quite a few options. The best is that they cooked us up a fresh pan of gfree pasta with the sauce, meat and veggies of our choice. Desert we had apple pie filling with about 8 ice creams to choose from. We left full and 12 hours later uncontaminated.
Was so pleased with how knowledgeable they were about their menu. They even took us on a tour and advised us of gluten and gluten free items. There were so many delicious items to include gluten free pasta.
Absolutely wonderful selection of gluten free items and incredible food as well. The head chef takes you around each buffet section himself and points out the many items that are gluten free and will go out of his way to modify any of the few items not gluten free to make them safe for you to eat. Great service and over 35 items gluten free to choose from. By far one of the best buffets in town!
Our server suggested that I try the omelet bar as she also has Celiac. I followed her advice and went to the omelet bar and ordered the meat lovers omelet. It had sausage, ham and one other meat item plus cheddar cheese. 😋 Asked the chef if he could make my omelet in a clean pan and he pulled out a fresh clean pan. Plus I had a couple of sausage links and a plate of fruit.
We went for my daughter’s birthday the other day and I wasn’t planning to eat since it’s an Italian buffet. However, our server was amazing and brought the head chef out. He walked me around to every station and told me what I could and couldn’t have. Since the house salad has bacon and cheese, he even made me one from scratch. We were there at brunch, so the omelet station was perfect and there were a lot of salads and veggie dishes. There were way more options than I imagined! No pasta or pizza, but tons of other stuff.
not a lot, but staff is extremely helpful. even will make something special when they can.
