City Grill Steakhouse

Lekker gegeten. Wel moet je zelf goed opletten met bestellen niet al het personeel snapt wat glutenvrij betekent en ze bakken in de frituur van de friet ook gebakken uien in bloem. Hier kwam ik achter bij een beetje doorvragen dus goed zelf doorvragen hoe het zit dan kun je er prima eten. Ik heb kingklip vis gegeten met rijst was heerlijk

How would you rate the taste and quality of the gluten-free food you tried?

— Good

I am very sensitive to gluten and was told that some sauces were gluten-free. I checked them with my Nima and gluten was found. I chose to have a pan fried fish as the grill would have been contaminated with the sauce. It was OK. Once the staff was aware of the gluten in the sauce they were very attentive and aware that I could not have anything off of the grill

Very good GF knowledge. We had a delightful meal at this busy restaurant. We started with appetizers of carpaccio and bruschetta (my non-GF partner loved the bread) that were fantastic. We also ordered a haloumi (a type of cheese) and avocado salad that was delicious. For our entrees we ordered ostrich kebabs and springbok. Both were fantastic, especially with the quince and rosemary sauce that came with the ostrich. Service was excellent; the entire restaurant staff were great. Our only complaint is that the restaurant was very noisy....but there were a lot of larger groups at the restaurant and there were a lot of concrete walls. In three weeks in South Africa we didn't find a quiet restaurant!
