Traveled an hour from Syracuse with our kids and grandparents so my celiac husband could eat somewhere safe. We ALL enjoyed our food and want to go back for more! So many delicious options my husband was in heaven. Especially with the bakery treats we brought back home with us. I would like to warn some bakery items are marked cross contaminated with peanuts even though this app says “peanut free” but the staff were very knowledgeable and we had no issues!

Today my mother and I traveled to City Cafe from Auburn NY which is about an hour and a half away. Before we left we had debated on going or not because we were in the middle of a snow storm. Boy did we make the right decision. After almost going off the road multiple times, I got to indulge in their Strawberry shortcake waffle stack, with a side of tater tots and bacon. I also got the salad special to go along with some of their desserts. Every single thing I bought was absolutely delicious. It’s so hard finding gluten free AND DAIRY FREE food, LET ALONE A WHOLE RESTAURANT! I couldn’t even believe it. I have not one complaint about this place. Thank you City Cafe for this amazing experience and for the delicious food, and not to mention the safety I felt eating at your cafe. Don’t you ever close because we will definitely be back😊

So hard to choose from all the options!! I tried the gf chicken tenders special and it was yummy! They make pressed sandwiches on their gf bread and they look really good, too! Update: Chicken and waffles were the bomb!!! Best waffles I have ever had! So glad to see the owner has joined the group! This cafe is a jewel!

We had a large group (6 people) and tried a variety of menu items. Mostly they were great, one or two merely good. Tater tots were a huge hit. Line brownie wasn't a hit. I'll definitely get back here.

They were so nice to us during our Toronto to Boston road trip on a bad traffic and weather day. They had colouring for my son to calm him down. Everything is gf and also dairy free, we felt safe and the service was so kind. We had a chicken sandwich, burger, bagel and took several items to go. Highly recommend this place it was a true haven in a rough day!

I saw the reviews but still called ahead to confirm that it would be safe for my daughter with Celiac. They assured me it would be, and we ordered online. My daughter had a hard time deciding with all of the available options. She opted for chicken tenders and sweet potato fries. She had “the best cookie I’ve had since Celiac”. I had a chicken wrap that was to die for. Staff was awesome. No one got sick. I wish I lived closer.

They don't allow any gluten in the building, so you don't have to check anything. It almost feels unnatural. You get to eat like a normal person. Gf breakfast, dinner, desserts, (both frozen and warm) gf drinks, its incredible. I had BATTERED SHRIMP!!!

What a dream come true for a family with a Celiac kid. Just visiting from Atlanta and will literally be eating her our whole trip. Burger was amazing. Best gluten free bread I've ever had and I've eaten them ALL, even in Paris. Crispy fish was perfection. Staff is so kind!!

Really delicious food at this dedicated GF restaurant! We have to plan our stops on road trips around where to eat safely, and City Cafe was such a gem. We had a chicken wrap, wings with sweet potato fries, and a burger with regular fries. All were super tasty!!! I also had a cupcake, which was such a treat. One of my family members has additional allergies beyond just gluten, and staff was very helpful in checking what kind of oil the fries were fried in (I believe canola, definitely not soy or corn) and the ingredients of the hamburger bun.

We will definitely be back when we're next in the area!!

Absolutely amazing place! We are celiac and had absolutely no issue, this is a dedicated GF restaurant. The selection of menu items was extensive and had several things we’ve not been able to eat for years! First time we’ve had a “Big Mac” (fries) and a red velvet cupcake…the staff was super friendly and accommodating! I wish they had one of these in my city. Will be back anytime we’re in town. I wish I could post pictures!!

Wow! What a gem! GFDF facility. Great food, I brought along a non-celiac sister who still enjoyed a panini. I got the Buffalo chicken tacos. Great service, took a minute to get our food but it was extremely tasty!

We found this while traveling on the thruway-what a lovely surprise! A few minutes off the thruway and an absolute delight. The food was amazing and the staff was wonderful. This place is 100% gluten, dairy, and peanut free. It is absolutely amazing and tasty, even for those non-gluten free folks. My husband is not celiac and cannot taste the difference. Probably the best GF wrap i have ever had, i had a chicken wrap and my boyfriend had a burger, the bun on his was very typically falling apart but that’s no surprise for gluten free bread. my wrap was so good i probably cried a little. we had the taco fries too (i think that’s what they were called) and they were so unique and SO good. had the rest as cold leftovers and was still in awe. go, right now, you won’t regret it

We are from out of town and we were thrilled to find a truly gf place but the meal was even better than we hoped. The burgers were gourmet and the chicken sandwiches were very good! The sandwich bun was excellent, tasty and a fantastic consistency. We will be going back ASAP.
