Great burgers, dedicated frier, and now their famous Clive sauce is gluten free. Are their a couple of times, never got sick.

Not celiac safe. They cook the food super safe and the staff really wanted to make it safe, but I got so sick after eating there bc of how they prep the burger after they cook it. There is a station where they add toppings to all the burgers. But the regular buns are being filled w toppings at the same area and all the crumbs go into the topping containers, and their hands holding the buns go into the topping containers. Think of it like subway how they have a counter where they make the sandwiches and all the topping are right there level w the countertop so the CC from their hands holding the buns + the buns being on the same level as the toppings is way too sketchy. They seemed confondent in cooking it but once I saw how they had their topping station set up I knew it was sketchy and I ate it anyway and got so sick. Oops.

I went to Clive late at night when not much else was open. I asked for the gluten free bun (which was a $4 extra charge, but you can also get lettuce wrapping if you wish), and he asked if it was preference or allergy. I told him allergy— I don’t know exactly if it was prepared separately or not, but when I’m asked if it’s an allergy it makes me think they take special measures to make sure I don’t get sick. I asked if the fries were gluten free and was told yes, but the house sauce (Clive sauce) was not, so he put ketchup with it instead. I would definitely go back! Their milkshakes are so good, but either avoid or take some lactate pills if you are sensitive to lactose

I’m a very sensitive celiac and it’s about 50/50 if I have a reaction here or not. I think it depends if the staff are busy or not and take the extra time to prevent cross contamination.
Eat here often with my friend who is also celiac. Neither of us have gotten sick and we ❤ the fries. It’s good to check your bun though as we did receive a gluten-ey bun once. They remade the burger no problem.
Yes
Buns are awesome! They were really careful to ask questions and ensure my food was being handled correctly.
Yes
I eat burgers and fries here a ton and have never gotten sick.
Yes
Although at first they look like they have everything under control, they do cross contaminate their gluten filled gloves in the fries and fry the fries all in the same oil. I had emailed them and she didnt understand the cross contamination in the oil.
No
Don't go in late at night when they're busy, I watched the guy making my burger put new gloves on then started touching other buns and then went back to mine. His coworker told him to put new ones on again and he said I don't care. Called him out and he denied it. Not impressed
I love that at this place I can eat both a burger and fries. Although, the burger bun was very dry and felt like a cookie, but it tasted delicious. As for the fries, they were decent and lacking salt. Their restaurant is beautiful though. I love the feel to it! It's a very cool place!

They are consistent in providing an amazing gluten free burger, that tastes great!! They grill their buns, so the use parchment lines to protect your bun from cross contamination with the other buns. The staff are friendly, helpful, and sassy. Truly a gem. Plus they are open crazy late, like 3am on the weekends!
