I had a very pleasant experience. I ordered gluten free pancakes (only $8.50 for a shortstack of 3). The restaurant is very cute and quaint. When I arrived there was a line but it moved pretty fast and the wait was only about 10 minutes. When the owner overheard I was gluten free he stopped by my table throughout breakfast and made sure I was enjoying my food and my overall dining experience. Kind people, cute environment, good food. I will definitely be returning soon.
On a Saturday morning rush we got in, sat at the counter and were supremely taken care of! We had three waitstaff help and double check with the kitchen staff and looked up ingredients for different GF and DF options just to be sure. I had the corn bread waffles, turkey bacon and eggs. No gluten. No dairy. Yay!!!! Been here a few times and have enjoy every experience.
Based on great reviews, I decided to place a lunch order because I had no food in my house. When I called, the women who answered was impatient and was unable to answer some of my questions. ( I even asked if there was a slower time during the day when they had time to talk to me.) Still, I decided to order three burgers. When I pick them up I asked a few more questions specifically about the tiny kitchen and the safety steps they took to make sure there was no cross-contamination and I was told that they did the best they could but there were no guarantees. I took the food and took a few bites but decided to throw the food out because it was not worth the risk. They did not make me feel confident or comfortable about their food safety.
This place smells amazing! Delicious food, helpful and friendly staff who are aware of the ingredients and were happy to give their stuffed French toast a makeover without the cream cheese so I could have it. Gf French toast with cinnamon apple compote & variety of homemade jams. My guest with no food allergies equally enjoyed his meal as well! Said the pancakes & omelet were outstanding. Has that cozy local diner appeal, definitely will be back!
