I asked for the Barbie with no topping and he put it on the topping table. I then told him I have a severe gluten allergy and if I could get another scoop. He rolled his eyes and put the EXACT scoop on the table back into the ice cream bin. Not safe at all!

They said they could mix my ice cream in a separate container (not on the shared cold slab), which was good to know. However some of the ice creams themselves contain gluten, like cake batter and oreo filling. I saw some oreo crumbs in the gaps between ice cream bins which was worrisome. And they only rinse the scoopers, which makes me think cross contamination could be an issue unless you ask them to get a fresh one.

There are plenty of gluten free ice creams, but not that many GF toppings I felt safe getting (and that I liked). I also asked whether the sprinkles were GF, and nobody in the store knew, therefore I ended up getting no mix ins just to be safe.

The staff was knowledgeable about which menu items were gluten free. When I told them I was celiac, they assured me they'd use fresh utensils and they prepared the ice cream on a separate clean space at the end of the assembly line. They have a large variety of gluten free ingredients, although I know the risk of cross contamination is pretty high with the food containers all set so closely together. Their understanding and precautions made me feel comfortable enough to try it, though.

I am the new owner and am celiac. We have a large variety gluten free ice creams and mix ins. (As well as dairy free and other allergen free options). We would be happy to grab all new equipment, fresh ice cream and mix-ins from the back. And mix in a separate container on the stone so no risk of cross contact. With advance notice we’d be happy to make some of yummy ice cream pies, cakes or other novelties gluten free for you! We want a fun and safe experience for all.
