Great GF breakfast. My celiac kids love the GF chocolate chip pancakes from the kids menu.
This my fav GF breakfast place! It is so good my favorite thing there is the homemade honey biscuits! They are to die for! Totally recommend it for people with celiac disease.
Everything is made with a GF flour mixture that it also available for purchase. Had the eggs Benedict and it was amazing! And the loaded sweet potato fries. Would come back every weekend if I lived in the area!
New menu! Has GF biscuits, pancakes, fried chicken, breads, draft beer and other items. All very fresh and tasty. Highly recommended!
Being wanting to go to this place for some time... I loved that they had gf fish and chips. Seemed very knowledgeable about gf. As I always say... I don’t have celiac but when my cousin who does have it come in town, this is definitely on our to do list!
The turkey club on a GF bun is AMAZING! The turkey has a great smoky flavor. Everything they put in their fryer is gluten free, so being able to have something fried is a special treat. I had the french toast bites, they could use some cinnamon or vanilla to add flavor but the fact they are fried is enough for me to order them over and over again! Their biscuits are crazy good, they might be my favorite item. You can order bags of them to keep in your freezer :) Both flavors of cake I have tasted are amazing. I have had excellent customer service each time I have gone. The only con was the $4 side of french fries was tiny.
I’m so happy I found this place! They have the best GF French toast and pancakes. Plus it’s reasonably priced!
Our kiddo is still talking about the chicken fried steak! This is a must visit place for celiacs. Hope they open another location soon. Worth the drive and wait!!
Not the best GF pancakes in town, but the menu here is almost 100% gluten free including GF chicken fried steak and fish and chips, cakes, cookies, pies, and more. The owner of this place thinks GF diets are a dad and doesn't believe in food allergies or celiac disease so save yourself the headache of having any kind of discussion with him. Otherwise enjoy!
The gluten free French toast was amazing!!! Would come back again and again!
ordered a gluten free grilled cheese and was served one regular bread. the server was not to be found until after we had eaten it. once I spoke to him about it he blamed me for his mistake. very disappointed in our lunch today. ive been sick all afternoon due to his carelessness. also, as we were leaving there was a giant roach on the wall. disgusting.
best place for GF food in Dallas! Fried chicken & gravy & french fries! yum
Unbelievable. One of the top GF restaurants that my family of four have ever eaten at. Almost every item on the menu was GF and outstanding. The Coffee Cake, Marble Mystery & Cookie Monster desserts were above delicious. We ate here twice in two days. Will come back every time we come through Dallas.
Loved this place but have been very disappointed ever since the Katy Trail location shut down. Lack in customer service and in hours! I use to go to this one once to twice a week now I go once every 6 months if I can. You can never call in to go orders and half the time when you get in the wait staff is disinterested. Two years ago would have gotten 5 stars. Still good food and worth a stop if you're in town.
This is a hip brunch spot with great food and excellent music. It was Celiac friendly will wonderful biscuits and gravy. I had the chicken fried stake.
Yum!!!! So impressed with Company Cafe - we are visiting from out of town and my son has celiac disease. Sooo many choices and everything was delicious! Staff is very knowledgeable about gluten/food prep and my son had no issues after eating here.
lots of gf options including chicken fried steak, biscuits and gravy, french toast bites! all deliciou! changed
Great fried fish and chicken fried steak
My first fish and chips in years. excellent choices, great service. very knowledgeable about gluten free and cross contamination.
OMG, such a treat! Had the French Toast bites, biscuit and Johnny Rooster. It was soo good, can't wait to get back to try more of their menu!! Had the French dip, was fair, wouldn't order again
Amazing!!! We were going back and forth on where to have breakfast and I am SO glad we chose Company Cafe!! Everything on the menu is gf or can be made gf. And that even includes biscuits! I was expecting some crappy toast substitution. Gf fryers. Staff was so great even with me asking 5x if things were gf because they seemed way too good! Appetizer: French toast bites Breakfast: chicken fried steak, eggs, biscuit and gravy + fried chicken and pancakes with bacon jalapeño marmalade and syrup. Great French press coffee.
Absolutely love the food! The atmosphere is great. Everything on the menu is gluten free or has a GF substitute. The staff could use a little hospitality training and the wait was long, but well worth it! Love it!
This place was a breath of fresh air!! Being newly gluten free, I find eating out to be more chore than anything else. And to complicate things further, I also have a dairy allergy. Felt like there were more things I COULD eat than couldn't (some with minor modifications). Our waitress was knowledgeable and her recommendation of the Deep Bowl was spot on! It was delicious!! Wish it wasn't so far from home because we'd be here all the time. Nice to know it's an option for when we're venturing out of our part of town.
my favorite local gf restaurant. Everything I've had here is amazingly tasty, great service and pet friendly patio.
Great gluten free restaurant. My daughter had flour crusted fried fish for the first time since finding out she had Celiac, 6 months ago. So happy!! Pesto risotto is fantastic, as is the migas. Super nice staff who understands Celiac. Gf desserts too. Such a treat!
Awesome fish and chips. loved the choices.
Excellent food! Little chance of cross contamination. So good!
Probably my favorite GF spot in Dallas. So many menu options, both healthy and comfort food selections. Their brunch is amazing, and they even have GF chicken fried chicken, gravy, biscuits, etc. Great desserts too!
Almost everything is GF. They'll also make a dish GF. I had the GF Chicken Fried Steak with Eggs. It was wonderful. The gravy was delicious, not spicy at all. The rest of my party loved the food. It is pricey, but well worth it! The neighborhood is artsy. You have to park behind the building. Trader Joes is right across the street.
We had the GF Chicken Fried Steak, the Urban Tacos with venison, and the gravy and biscuits. ALL gluten free. Everything was SO GOOD. The service was excellent too. They even have GF deserts but we were too stuffed to try them. 100% recommend this place and will be coming back. Cheers!
Omg! What a find. This place is GREAT. Local food, local beer, local austin type vibe. Lots of options and an entire gf pastry case, no joke!
I live out in the suburbs, but my stylist is near here, so when I get my hair done, I head here for lunch. The GF Chicken Fried Steak is great. I almost always get the Johnny Rooster: Olive oil-fried chicken with gluten-free pancakes stuffed with bacon and roasted jalapeño with maple syrup. I have lived in Texas all of my life. Why is it only now, at 35, that I discover putting jalapenos in pancakes? Two pieces of chicken and 2 big pancakes. I always ask to have half boxed up to take with me so I can have it for dinner or breakfast the next day. I've sent several people their way, but I'm not sharing my leftovers with anyone.
The first time I visited Comp. Cafe, I went to the Greenville location. After an hour long wait, we were seated, only to find out they were out of most items on the menu. Months later, I thought I'd give their 2nd location a try. We ordered GF, as my wife has Celiac. We ordered the GF cake for dessert. Several bites in, we were notified we had not been given GF cake. My wife got very sick & ruined the evening. Never Again..
Best restaurant in Dallas for gluten free.
I love this place. My husband loves this place. Haven't had anything I haven't liked. We seem to eat here now about once a week.
Wonderful GF dining. Chicken fried steak and the fried chicken and pancakes are our favorites. GF beers and ciders are available.
Excellent food!! First chicken fried steak I'd had in years. Cakes are "to die for" and all are gluten free. Had to try 2- mystery cake and Italian cream. Staff is very knowledgable. Can't wait to go again.
GeneticRouletteMovie viewers are thankful for this restaurant. Great GF chicken fried steak, just wish they would also put GF organic chicken fried chicken on the menu.
Very good GF menu! Chicken fried steak is so good.
Eclectic menu for GF options. Love the chicken & waffles. And desserts are tasty, too. Be back soon for more!
They are very knowledgable about g-f, but their food does not taste all that good good compared to what is available out there. For example, Pancakes are powdery/gritty and chili is beyond bland. Staff not particularly friendly. Safe place to eat with modern feel.
Both breakfast and dinner are great! I recommend the short rib for dinner, it was amazing!
Favorite GF breakfast place in Dallas!
Love it! Gluten free menu is outstanding. Chicken Fried Steak with green beans and sweet potato mashed is just wonderful. High recommend them
Only breakfast place in Dallas, that I know of, where I can safely eat more than just coffee and fresh fruit. Their lunch menu is great too!
Great gluten free restaurant. My daughter had flour crusted fried fish for the first time since finding out she had Celiac, 6 months ago. So happy!! Pesto risotto is fantastic, as is the migas. Super nice staff who understands Celiac. Such a treat! Sadly this location closed July 28, 2015.
Maybe I just had a bad experience. I ordered gluten free told waitress my allergy. The kitchen staff didn't use precaution so she came to the table and said they were remaking it. Then she finally brought my plate out with normal bread. I asked like I always do "are you sure all this is gluten free" she said omg no and took it back. Then all they did was remove the normal bread off my plate and put the gluten free bread on it. So I didn't eat half my plate because it was cold so I knew they didn't make it fresh. They didn't even comp my ticket. If I wouldn't of asked like I always do and just ate what she brought me I would of been terribly sick. YOU CANT EAT HERE AND FEEL SAFE THAT YOU WONT GET SICK.
Almost the ENTIRE menu is Gluten free. Amazing atmosphere with inside and outside seating and us right on Katie Trail. Our server was awesome and the GF CHICKEN FRIED STEAK was so good. Honey jalapeño gravy and baked on sure GF bread was some of best I've had. The desserts, hand squeezed juice, chili ....such a great menu. Locally sourced, grassfed and cage free. All around great spot!
They have more options than any place I've been. We've been in town for 3 weeks (Dad had brain surgery) & have eaten here several times. The pancakes, bacon, biscuits & gravy, & chicken fried steak were beautiful & delicious. My new favorite in all of DFW! All of anywhere, for that matter! Oh, and the staff is super friendly & attentive. Even the alcoholic beverages are labeled gf. Great food, drinks, patio atmosphere & TONS OF GF DESSERTS!
Wonderful experience, I have not had fried chicken since 2007 and it was wonderful!! We enjoyed it so much we had breakfast there the following morning!! GF bagel!! Wonderful cake!! And most importantly they had "attention Celiac" listed twice on the order receipt!! Outdoor dinning and they're even pet friendly!! In Dallas this is a must.
The Johnny Rocket (chicken and pancakes) was amazing. The dish came with two fried boneless chicken breasts and two pancakes with jalapeños and bacon & syrup on the side. The chicken was AMAZING - light, crispy, and not oily. I couldn't get enough! The chicken fried steak with gravy, mashed sweet potatoes, and green beans was also delicious; however, the gravy could have used less pepper. We will definitely be back for more-maybe on GF Pizza Tuesday :-)
I loved that this place was GF, and our meals were really tasty. Unsure if they were 100% GF because the server said "Everything is GF," but then said they had corn tortillas or flour tortillas for the fish tacos and said the flour tortillas were NOT GF. I questioned her on that and she said, "Oh, well we don't make them here, so it's ok." Um... what? I also was surprised that nearly every dish on the menu included some kind of dairy, which is surprising from a place that is all/mostly GF. Overall, the experience was good, though the server was confused, which as a challenged eater always is a little unnerving.
