We came here as a party of 8 on a Saturday during the holiday season. I called ahead of time to find out their celiac protocols and was pleasantly surprised to learn they gave a separate area of the kitchen for GF foods and a separate fryer as well! They even brought out a delicious soft GF bread at the start of the meal! My daughter does not currently have any symptoms so if she were glutened we probably wouldn’t know but it seems they are aware and knowledgeable on celiac safety.
NOT SAFE. I went here and had a horrible experience. Wouldn’t trust the safety of this restaurant.
First I asked for a GF menu, which was extensive so I was optimistic. I also checked the online allergen menu bc I have a soy allergy as well. Feeling confident I ordered something. When my dish arrived it was not the dish I ordered and obviously had soy sauce on it. Because of that mistake, I wasn’t confident that it was GF either.
Although I spoke to the manager and they fixed the issue and sent my correct food, the experience ruined my time at the restaurant.
Also, my friend ordered a coffee and it came in a cup with lipstick all over the rim. Gross.
This is a delayed review from fall 2023. They have a separate GF menu and were able to remove some items from my order to meet my food intolerance needs in addition to celiac. I had the Napa chicken salad. It was very good and was safely prepared. I go to another location about once a year and the risotto is always a safe bet. I’ve never been glutened. While I have friends who absolutely love this chain, I don’t understand the hype. The food is good, not spectacular, there are options, and it’s safe so I’ll be back.
This is the second location of Cooper's Hawk that we have tried and it was just as good as the location in Miami. I think Cooper's Hawk has the largest and most diverse gluten free menu that I have ever seen and the food is very delicious. I had a parmesan crusted chicken breast (fried) with mashed potatoes and green beans and loved every bite. The GF bread that was brought out before the meals is the best I have had anywhere.
Their Gluten Free menu has so many options, all done so well it was hard to choose! I had the short rib risotto- really delicious! And they provide warm gluten free bread before the meal. I was so pleased with the experience!
This is my "go to" and I absolutely love it. I have the most "normal" dining experience here and don't feel deprived as the GF menu is so extensive (front and back!). The servers are knowledgeable, and they even have a fresh baked tasty GF bread loaf they bring with butter when they bring bread for the rest of the table. I was told the owner's wife is Celiac and they have a totally separate preparation area for all their GF items so I've felt very safe re cross contamination and I've never gotten sick. Also great wine and GF dessert options. 10 out of 10 in my book!
This place is fantastic! They have a gf menu and Server was very aware and made recommendations. She said the kitchen staff were made aware and order is marked. I had the Risotto with shrimp only as I’m also allergic to shellfish so no scallops for me. It was fantastic and everyone else in my party enjoyed their non-gf food. Plus you get wine tasting and recommendations for pairing.
Ate at the Reston, VA location last night and it was a terrible experience. The service was sub-par, however, the worst part was that I was blatantly glutened!!! There were 2 pieces of gluten-filled gnocchi in my supposedly GF chicken primavera pasta (which is prepared with certified GF Barilla pasta) Needless to say I am sick. Thank goodness my intolerance doesn’t cause me to be to be hospitalized. I know that many others would be much worse off then I am. Their GF menu is extensive but I will have a very difficult time convincing myself to go back. So disappointing.
This is the third time I’ve been to a Cooper’s hawk and first time at this location. All have been safe! The manager did not come talk to me like at the other locations but the food tested :) with my Nima and did not make me sick! I always get the Parmesan crusted chicken and my boyfriend got the gluten-free gnocci carbonara and loved it!
