FYI. Tried to stop here on October 8th and they are closed until further notice… We looked up their Facebook page and their lease was up, but everything was still inside the restaurant. Not sure if they’ll renew or maybe move locations? Just wanted to warn any other non-locals that may be passing through. Check the Facebook before you go!

Such a good taco spot! Yucca fries and the Brie queso are both amazing. Knowledgeable about CC and great flavors.

Celiac safe Mexican!!! Mexican is my favorite food, but in my area of town there are no celiac safe restaurants. Trust me, I’ve tried and tried to find one, getting sick each time.

Finally made the trek to corner taco and boy am I glad I did! They have a dedicated frier and are well trained in celiac. I was able to order chips and queso for my appetizer and tacos for dinner. The queso was fresh and tasted great! They add a little Brie which sets off the flavor.

I got the brisket, fried chicken, and jerk shrimp tacos. They were delicious! The brisket is a must-try and was our favorite!

Literally incredible! Almost everything is gluten free except the flour tortillas. Great flavors with the nachos and the fried chicken tacos were crisp and delicious. The Jerk tacos were the star of the meal. One of the best gluten free meals I’ve ever had.

Wow. Read some of the reviews here and then called the restaurant to ask about their gluten-free items. Gave it a whirl. MANY GF options including complicated and tasty tacos and nachos that wouldn’t be possible without the owner’s specific interest in making most of their food gluten-free. The mahi taco for instance, or the 24 hour carnitas, chorizo taco, fried chicken buttermilk taco, fried shrimp taco, and top that list off with the metropolitan and novel General Tso Taco. Nachos work. Dedicated fryer. No problems with the food. Daydreaming about the next visit. Thank you, Corner Taco.

The employees were very helpful in explaining their gluten-free options. The only items containing gluten are those made with a flour tortilla, and all tacos are gluten-free if ordered on corn. The chef even came out to confirm that the fried chicken was made with a gluten-free flour blend. Best of all- everything was phenomenal! Can’t wait to come back

Corner Taco is NOT celiac safe. They now serve flour and corn tortillas, which wouldn’t be problematic if they had protocols for separating prep areas. The flour tortillas are prepared on the same surfaces as all the other food and per the employee I spoke to, there is no way for them to prepare any food separately. In addition, it took about 30 min of back-and-forth between us and the employees as we tried to explain our dietary needs and order the food before we were told of the shared prep area and decided to leave. They did not seem to be aware of what was in the food, preparation, or anything else necessary for Celiacs to know that reviewers saw a year + ago.

Are waitress/manager had celiac and she made me feel very safe.There fryers for there chicken they dont even but flour in them or any gluten. I got the chicken nuggets best chicken nuggets of my entire life!!!!Very fast service. I highly recommend!!!

Amazing! Everything is gluten free including the little fried chicken bits except the large tortillas. They dedicate an area to those and confirmed there is zero loose wheat in the restaurant. Staff is awesome and helpful! Food is delicious. LOVE.

Love this place. Owner is celiac or gluten intolerant? I’m a Biopsy confirmed celiac and never get sick there. Eat there about 3-5 times a month. They have GF fried Chicken!! Basically the entire menu is GF or can be made GF. Highly recommend!

Great place! They make their own corn tortillas and you can also get your taco on a lettuce wrap.

What a cute little place, and almost everything is gluten free, including the fried stuff. The only things that aren't are the flour tortillas and the dessert taco. But all of the taco toppings are gluten free including the sauces.

The food was just not that good all the food tasted old.. nothing was labeled as gluten free and the staff was just not that helpful.

Unbelievably excellent!!!! Family of four, we ordered one of each and shared and they were all very good.

Corner Taco's food is delicious, and for a while I enjoyed it under the assumption that it was really gluten-free; there was a big sign declaring that all food (unless otherwise indicated) was GF. Now, the sign is gone, and it seems like there's always been quite a bit of cross-contamination happening here. Shared fryer, shared grill, etc. Bummer.

NOT celiac friendly! If you're celiac you likely suffer from cross contamination. Staff was honest that only one flat iron is available for both gluten and gf use, making contamination risk 100%. So I'm baffled as to why 100% of votes said it's celiac friendly. Didn't eat there but food smelled incredible and had great prices. Was sad we couldn't eat here.

GF fried chicken is available as a taco or salad, but note that it is not dairy-free. I ordered a trio of jerk chicken tacos (dairy-free) and they were delicious. This was our first time visiting Corner Taco and it will not be the last!! I tried the buttermilk fried chicken taco and 24 hr brisket taco. Absolutely fabulous! The service was super as well. Friendly. Engaging. Wonderful neighborhood place to get a unique, delicious meal. Looking forward to our next visit to try the chicken dilla with mango and brie.

"Trendy". Celiac friendly for sure. Food was fair at best. Not kid friendly. It was dirty like a food truck place probably would be. Stopped on way back from beach probably wouldn't do again however.

So friendly, yummy food, and staff is well-versed in GF food prep! Queso was delicious, altho on the spicy side for my kids. My older kids could have eaten 2 tacos each, as could have we adults - the fried chicken taco went over very well, fish taco also very good! Delicious black beans.

We found this spot using this app, on our drive down to Disney, and it was awesome to stop for fresh healthy delicious food just off I-95...literally right off the highway! Highly recommend it to those traveling through Jacksonville instead of the usual limited-for-celiacs fast food options on the interstate.
