Went in and asked if they had gluten free options and they were so kind and helped out with so many options. After I ordered my enchilada they all changed their gloves and put foil down under my corn tortillas to ensure not cross contamination on the warmer. What a great experience. This is all new to me and it’s been difficult to eat out.

Said celiac and she changed her gloves immediately. Always a good sign. Got a bowl. The chips are safe. Decent meal on the road. Small town that is hard to find safe food in. Happy with our stop.

We eat at Costa Vida a lot. This location really followed all of the gluten free protocols that a lot of other Costa’s have gotten lax about. There is always a chance of cross contamination in an assembly line restaurant. But they definitely minimized that risk and were kind about it, too.

From their allergen list: We have worked diligently to remove wheat gluten from all our sauces, dressings, and proteins. Natural glutens remain only in our flour and wheat tortillas and in two desserts--tres leches and key lime pie. This means that we offer "oceans of gluten-free options" in our menu. All of these items are gluten-free: all enchiladas, all tacos, all salads (without the flour or wheat tortilla), all nachos, and our chicken tortilla so up...which uses corn strips.
I take my husband and daughters (who all have celiac) here often. The cooks change gloves and double check with us before each step of food prep. None of my family members with celiac have ever gotten sick after eating at this location. I highly recommend it.

Food is great! I’ve eaten at several locations for a couple years with no issues. This location changed their gloves and washed hands, so I’m not sure what happened, but I was very sick within two hours of eating at this location.

Not safe for celiac. I watched the cook make and handle the flour tortillas then chop and handle the chicken at the same time. He went back and forth from the chicken to the flour tortillas several times so I'm certain it's contaminated. Not going to risk that so I left without eating.

According to the restaurant, everything is gluten free except the flour and wheat tortillas. The grilled chicken enchiladas were tasty. The rice and refried beans were also good. The person that helped us, washed his hands and put on new gloves before preparing our order.

Staff was kind and knowledgeable. Changed gloves and washed their hands without being told. They also let us “tweak” the side of chips to have melted cheese instead of having to order a huge order of nachos for a child.

Server immediately changed gloves and washed hands when I mentioned a gluten allergy, in addition, he pulled my tray from the back and used the serving counter in the back to prevent cc, and walked my tray himself through the rest of line, communicating with other team members that he had an allergy order. Very impressed with how he handled everything! Everything is gf except for the flour tortillas.
