Food is great and the staff is well trained in gluten free. Every time I've told them I'm gluten free they have changed gloves before doing my order and I've never had any issues.

This place is probably fine if you’re not Celiac. But after watching everyone handle freshly cooked flour tortillas I don’t think it’s possible to eat here with cross contamination. I did not feel comfortable ordering and I’m not one to be over the top when eating out.

Our first visit and when I asked about the chips being gluten free they were so knowledgeable and kind. Even though all their chips are gluten free they keep the gf chips in a different drawer to prevent cross contamination from dirty gloves, smart! They also have corn tortillas which is great to have options. I had nachos and my little one had tacos.
The staff was great, helpful, anf upbeat. They knew what they were doing. They communicated our gf status with those finishing the order to keep is safe. Tons of gf options. You can find the gluten status of all items in the nutrition menu on the website
We will go back for sure!!

From their allergen list: We have worked diligently to remove wheat gluten from all our sauces, dressings, and proteins. Natural glutens remain only in our flour and wheat tortillas and in two desserts--tres leches and key lime pie. This means that we offer "oceans of gluten-free options" in our menu. All of these items are gluten-free: all enchiladas, all tacos, all salads (without the flour or wheat tortilla), all nachos, and our chicken tortilla so up...which uses corn strips.
Three trips, three different answers to my allergen questions. On a positive note, they were always friendly and happy to “help” and the food was good. Sometimes sick sometimes not. I recommend asking for the manager to help you.

I asked the server if the chips were GF and he assured me everyone on the line is GF with the exception of the flour tortillas. He made sure to let me know he was washing his hands and changing gloves before he assisted me with my order. He also made sure to use the bottom drawer of chips that are not touched unless new gloves have been put on to prevent cross contact. Highly recommend for any GF friends!
To follow up, within an hour of eating here I had stomach pain, bloating, and digestive issues. I’m hoping it wasn’t gluten related as the staff was so great about trying to accommodate. I suspect it was an accidental cross contamination though.

Gone here a couple times in the last month. Employees always change their gloves as soon as you say gluten free. Lots of choices and good food. Haven't gotten sick here, will definitely go again!

Celiac knowledgeable staff. Everything but, flour tortillas are GF. Good food. Will visit again when in the area.

They have an awesome gluten free menu and their food is good!

The staff is very knowledgeable. The sweet pork is amazing! The prices are a little high considering I didn’t want the sides. I didn’t get sick, so I’m ok with that though.

so delicious. we drive out of our way while traveling through Kansas to eat at Costa Vida. very celiac friendly and so delicious. 100x better than Chipotle!!!
The staff was knowledgeable and immediately washed hands and put on new gloves. The staff knew what was safe and not safe. They cooked corn tortillas on foil so they were not contaminated.

love how friendly and helpful this place is! loads of options as well, and to top it off everything is delicious too!!!
When I asked for corn tortillas the employee asked right away if I needed it to be gluten free and I said yes she quickly changed her gloves and made sure she placed tortilla on foil so no cross contamination would happen.... It did take a little longer but I can say that I felt very comfortable with the way they handled it and will definitely take my daughter there again.
Just had to write a new review because Bruno and his crew are so very helpful in seeing that my food is handled properly AND MUY DELICIOSO !!! I have been coming here since it was first opened...NEVER disappointed, and my family love it too!!!
We had a great experience eating at Costa Vida - food was wonderful and employees were soooo nice and seemed to understand celiac disease and our concern about cross contamination! We will come back

The tacos were amazing! The gluten free tortilla broke before I could eat it but it was still delicious! I will defiantly eat there again
This is a casual restaurant whose staff has a good grasp of gluten-free requirements. Tell them you require gluten-free because of allergy and they change gloves and use corn tortillas. Most menu items are gluten-free. Food quality is good. I recommend this as a safe place for celiacs.

This is a restaurantthat they make the food in front of you at the front.Change gloves, have corn tortilla for burrito. Yummy. Charge extra for guacamole and sour cream, which is a little cheap!
Amazing place. Absolutely delicious. Decor was great, service was friendly and above and beyond. What's NOT gluten free here? (Kidding. But almost everything on the menu is GF !)
Yes

Told staff I was celiac, first member changed his gloves(yay) filled the bowl with chips, then passed my bowl to a member who literally just rolled a tortilla and DID NOT change gloves, added to the bowl, then put his tortilla contaminated hand directly in to grab a meat strip to put on top before baking the nachos. When I pointed out my food was now glutened the response was well there's always the risk of cross contamination. Extremely disappointed given they were at the GLUTEN FREE EXPO and had great samples. Don't waste your money

I got a salad with a corn tortilla. When I asked for a “gluten free salad” the person preparing my food changed gloves, and I was even asked if could have dairy, as they prepared the rest of my salad.

The staff immediately changed their gloves when I said I was gluten free. They grabbed some tortilla chips from the back for me and were all very nice about it. I’m symptomatic and didn’t get sick at all!
