Review of Da Luciano's

My waiter was extremely knowledgeable- all I had to say was “I have Celiacs Disease” and he was extremely accommodating and I could tell he was very familiar. This is owned by a family of Celiacs! The waiter was able to tell me the bread on the table was not safe for me to eat but offered to bring out gluten free bread for me. The menu is EXPANSIVE for people who are gluten free. The biggest selection I’ve ever seen. I got the homemade gluten free manicotti. It. Was. INCREDIBLE. I do not live in Chicago and I think this is one of those meals I will dream about! I truly forgot I have Celiacs here and didn’t feel like I was missing out one bit- I wanted to lick my plate. They also have many gluten free desserts, including gluten free CANNOLI!! I’ve not had cannoli since before o was diagnosed and I swear I wouldn’t have been able to tell the difference between gluten free and not. I felt very safe here and next time I visit Chicago I will make sure I stop here!!
