Menu items are marked gluten free but more can be made gf. I had steak fajitas with corn tortillas, which were delicious. Chips are shared fryer so a no go.
Great food and central location in Times Square at The W Hotel. I grabbed a bite at the bar and the server was very knowledgeable about gluten free and Celiac. He even double checked with the chef that the rice and beans were ok. I ordered the chicken tacos, which come with either corn tortillas, or a “naked” option in a bowl (I had the corn tortillas). Food was great! As was the jalapeño margarita. 😃 When my plate came out, there was even an “allergy” sticker on it. I’ll definitely eat here again next time I’m in the area.
I had a great meal here for restaurant week. I told the waiter that I have celiac and he knew what I was talking about and said he would flag it for the chef. All my plates were marked gluten free.The food was great- I had the empanadas, the tacos, and the flan. We also had the red sangria which was good. Would definitely come here again.
Separate gluten free menu. Not many choices. Chips are gluten free BUT they're fried in the same fryer with gluten products so they're contaminated. Do NOT eat the chips! I was able to eat the guacamole with veggies and the Waitress brought over for me corn tortillas to dip. I ate the skirt steak which was delicious! Server was knowledgeable and very accommodating. I'm giving it 4 stars because there is a minimal selection, can't eat the chips, and while the staff is VERY nice you wait there FOREVER for your food.
Menu was very small and they didn't have much of what was on it. Nor did our waiter understand what I was talking about. I got the veggie taco but all that was on it was mushrooms.......??!!! $15 bucks for mushrooms?? VERY disappointed since this place has been on my list to try for awhile bc of the reviews on here.
Knowledgeable wait staff. Chips are corn tortillas but are fried in a common fryer. Even if you can't eat the chips, they offer delicious crudités for dipping guacamole and salsa. I had the salmon ala plancha with quinoa for dinner. It was delicious! No ill effects afterwards either :)
They are very helpful and the food is delicious! But you have to ask a lot of questions. There is gluten hiding in some of the food. For instance the horracho beans are made with beer. But they staff is so kind and helpful. Nice experience.
Excellent gluten free menu option served by a well educated wait staff. Extremely accommodating to our needs. Awesome guacamole, offered a vegetable platter instead of chips. Once we asked for the gluten free menu the waitress was sure to suggest all gluten free options and made sure to let the chef know of the allergy. The meal was served with a (GF) sticker on the plate so everyone making contact was aware if the allergy.
