GF options are exceedingly limited — oysters are pretty much the only Cajun dish available.

I can’t speak for the entire menu, but we stopped in here because we love oysters. The chargrilled oysters are gluten free and delicious!
— Separate gluten-free menu
Ordered the Cajun catch off the gluten free menu and was sick within the hour. The food itself was delicious, if over salted, but I won’t be eating there again.

Food was not good, nor was it safe. I informed them that I have celiac, ordered from the gluten sensitive menu, but was still glutened.

Charboiled oysters are GF and amazing! The cajun fish with potatoes and spinach was also really good. They have their own GF menu.

There are few things I absolutely love and will order time and time again. One of them is charbroiled oysters. Drago’s oysters are awesome. They have a gluten free menu which includes the oysters. Get a side of broccoli to feel like you’re being slightly healthy (not so healthy pro tip: dip the broccoli in the melted butter on the oyster plate!)

Love Drago’s! Augustine took great care of us. You can’t go wrong with their signature oysters, just order with no bread and you’re fine. We were also able to order a slightly modified salad and had no issues. Ask for the GF menu, it’s small, but adequate. And again, it’s really all about those oysters!

BEST!!! I have zero idea about the entire rest of the menu but can say I've had their char-grilled oysters every time we go to New Orleans, which is at least once/twice a year for years and years. Probably more. Tell they you have celiac and ask for no bread.
I used to take my own bread to soak up the yummy garlic butter but now I leave that to my husband after I'm done eating. We were here in May. Don't be put off that it's in the Hilton. These char-grills ROCK!

Separate GF menu available on request, but mostly just regular items without the gluten-containing parts. Not a great deal of choice. Some servers were not even aware a GF menu existed. Not celiac-safe, since they do not guarantee no cross-contamination.
No
Charbroiled oysters are a revelation. I don't even LIKE oysters (raw ones anyway). They have GF menu, staff was knowledgeable. Had some amazing brothy soupy rice shrimp dish that was SO good!
Yes
This restaurant is located in the Hilton New Orleans Riverside, and has a dedicated gluten sensitive menu, however, the options are extremely limited, wait staff was not knowledgeable about menu items and their prep space is not safe for celiacs. I chose to not order food, which is unfortunate as this would be extremely easy for conference go-ers.

2nd dining experience, my husband loved the oysters so went back again. Service was excellent this time. Played it safe and got chargrilled oysters off GF menu. Got sick again this time 24hrs of it. 2nd exposure..
Service was slow, they were busy. Seemed knowledgeable about GF menu, although the food is delicious, it has to have a small amount of gluten, it got me within the hr. ... usually if it’s a lot of gluten, I can tell before I’m done eating. Felt fine when leaving didn’t eat anything else and then sick several time thru the night ..definitely gluten contamination or small amounts ..

No salad dressings are safe or sauces. Menu says “oil & vinegar” but there isn’t any oil so a small container of vinegar comes with old iceberg, 2 cucumber slices and a tomato. Side of rosemary garlic potatoes bathed in oil, burnt and dried out. Ordered crust free cheesecake, got a scoop of cheesecake filling on large dinner plate. There was no attempt made to make it look edible or pretty (sliced berry?)

I ate there last night. I am both gluten free and dairy free. I had the mixed grill (1/2 lobster, petit filet, blackened shrimp, rosemary potatoes, and sautéed spinach). It was delicious. I had no problems. When the server brought our food out she looked at mine and said. They gave you the gluten version. She had them remake it.
oysters were great and although the service staff was amazing, the burger and fries were horrible.
Has a separate gluten free menu. The waitress wasn’t very knowledgeable about the changes necessary to make the item gluten free. However, she said she would check with the chef. Had the chicken Romano with potatoes. It was good and I didn’t get sick.

We had a very long wait time but the gluten free menu was nice. I have celiac and the food didn't make me sick. I had chicken and potatoes. The manager was very helpful.
Yes
I only had appetizers here, but they had the best charbroiled oysters in New Orleans!
Gluten free menu gives a lot of options, and specifically tells you how the dish will be modified.
They do have a gluten free menu. I had the Cobb salad. It's kind of pricey. May need to spell things out for the waiter however.
Yes
slow service. limited understanding of menu. all crackers (for non GF) broken. Oyster sauce in plastic cups versus real container. tuna tartare not edible./sent back. grilled oyster ok, but could only taste cheese. not great decor.
Staff was knowledgeable. Been dining here for the past 3 days, have no issues with gluten and dairy free meals (see pictures above). Just ask for the gluten free menu. Good luck.
Yes
I ordered a salad with seared tuna. None of their dressing are GF, which is bummer. They do have a GF menu with plenty of options- I would recommend trying something other than that salad.
Okay, they have great charbroiled pastors. However, the gluten free dining is at your own risk. My first order they sent out with bread on top, so they don't quite understand gluten in my opinion. The second batch was bread free and delicious, but I didn't stick around to try anything else. Didn't want to risk getting sick.
the chargrilled oysters are gluten-free.
Metairie location has gluten free menu and is very accommodating. None of the salad dressings are considered safe so expect to have oil and vinegar on any salad you order. For my birthday they even served the free birthday brownie sundae separated out so that I could enjoy the ice cream with whip cream and chocolate sauce (my non-gf table mates enjoyed the brownie). The chargrilled oysters are not to be missed but make sure to ask for no bread or bread on the side. I generally get the maine lobster with the petit filet and have not had a bad meal yet.

Fabulous food, as always!! Can't go wrong at Drago's!! Grilled oysters a must-have!!💗
Accommodating but not very good.
loved this place! they had a gf menu and the bartender was really nice and helpful. their chargrilled oysters are to die for (we had 2 dozen!) and i even brought along my own gf saltine like crackers to make it more authentic. can't wait to return!
Yes
Waiter was super friendly. Had grilled fish and potatoes. Awesome!
has a gf menu, but was a bit limited. oysters were great
Bartender was helpful in identifying a few items that could be done gluten-free, but I still didn't feel 100% after eating there. I did not see a gluten-free menu.
No gluten-free menu. Our server told us to choose, then she would tell us if the dish was gf. She said she didn't really understand gluten-free and she proved it.
My husband loved the chargrilled oysters but does not have to follow a gf diet. I chose a salad and did ok. But I am cautious when servers are ill-informed.

dragos gluten free menu can be found online, just Google it!
Drago's New Orleans does not have a gluten free menu. I even called in advance and was told that they did but when we arrived the hostess said the server would help you. After an extended back and forth and huge anxiety we landed on the twin filets. I had an allergic reaction that lasted all night.

I had the best char grilled oysters. They also have a gluten free menu. They do not use bread crumbs any time on their grill. They also have vegan items. Awesome menu.
I have never had trouble with their menu

There have been changes to the menu, so the GF menu is out of date, but the waitstaff worked with me to get something I could eat. Good experience, and the food is amazing.

Absolutely the best meal I’ve had in a long time. Extensive gluten free menu with a ton of options. I ordered the boneless short ribs with mashed potatoes and GRAVY! What a comfort food blessing! Staff was very knowledgeable about celiac and I felt very comfortable ordering and eating here!

I called ahead to ask and was told they have a separate area and separate pots/pans. They also clean their work surface and change gloves before prepping gluten free orders. Their gf menu is online as well. When I was ordering I asked to confirm they would take precautions and the waitress gave the same rundown as the individual on the phone about their precautions
