GF options are limited, but staff are very knowledgeable and aware of cross contamination. They used to have a dedicated fryer but got rid of it for some reason. So fries not safe for celiacs anymore.

The waitress was so great and so was the food! There are only a couple of gluten aware options but the Thai bowl I had was incredibly good!

Went to Earl’s 10/10/2019 and they have just changed their menu, they no longer offer GF pasta. Had the GF pizza and it was pretty good. The fries are not labeled GF on the menu, asked why and was told because the side dipping sauce was not GF. That’s like saying a Caesar salad isn’t GF because of croutons. 🙄 Had the garlic fries without the sauce and they were totally fine, no issues. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly about it. Miss the pasta but the pizza was good!

I don’t think they provide dedicated French fry fryers anymore. The happy hour tacos are celiac friendly however and most of the staff seem very attentive to the allergy. Not a huge selection for entrees besides the usual steaks and salads.

There weren’t many options for celiacs and when they brought my salad it had Cajun chicken (containing gluten) instead of plain chicken as requested. Not great

Had lunch at Earls two days ago and spoke with the manager. Jordan said the dedicated fryers were down. He was helpful and I was confident I could get a safe meal. Limited options but I enjoyed a flavourful chicken breast and salad. Vacationing in Victoria with celiac is doable but challenging. Our server Elsa suggested a couple other locations to try while here.

Tonight was my second time going to Earls - the first time was in Vancouver, and the second time was in Vancouver Island. I found my first time to be great - they have a separate fryer for the fries, so I was happy to see that I could eat the fries. However, tonight, their fryer was broken, so everything fried was fried in the same oil, in the other fryer that they use gluten. I ordered a salad and specified that it had to be gluten free, however I was sad to find a crouton in it, after I had already eaten some of the salad. I sent it back, the waiter felt bad, and apologized. They then came out saying they would make me a new one that was clear of croutons, and that they could not give me the tortilla chip bits on the top of the salad like they normally do. They are normally fried in the gluten free fryer, however since it is broken tonight, they fried it in the same oil as gluten. This meant that they fed me something that had cross contamination, even though I specified that this was an allergy. Normally it should be okay, but they just didn't think it all through now that the gluten free fryer is broken. Luckily, I do not get sick from cross contamination, although it could have been much worse with someone else. They were generally very knowledgable and the food was very good, however they did have issues tonight. Make sure you double check all of these factors before ordering.

They have a dedicated gf fryer so I was able to have fries and a chicken sandwich. The bun was great at this location. I enjoy having a safe place to eat out.

Can confirm they have a dedicated gf fryer. I had a great chicken sandwich with fries. The bun wasn't the best I've ever had here but it was edible

Had a good experience here. Only salads and burgers marked as gf on the menu. Not sure if they can amend any of the other options on the menu however my salad was delicious and they can do gf fries.
