El Cholo was extremely accommodating! Chips are corn, and they have many corn tortilla options on the menu. They spoke with the kitchen for me about my allergies and brought out GF beans and ensured the meal was entirely GF for me.

Got a lot of mixed answers here. Called ahead of time to check on the chips. They checked with a manager and confirmed they are made in a dedicated fryer. Got there that night and double checked as most of us do and they said it is in fact in a mixed fryer, so not safe. They offered some heated up corn tortillas as a sub which was nice. But they also said they use the oil from the fryer in the Spanish rice so not to have that. Just be careful and ask them to double check everything

We consulted with both the host and the waiter when we arrived. They served my wife’s lunch with corn tortillas. Despite not being able to have the chips and salsa, she still had an excellent lunch with no reaction.

Unsafe restaurant. Meal came with black beans in a fried flour tortilla bowl and the waiter told me it was corn.

This place was incredible!! I saw mixed reviews about the gluten safety so I wasn’t sure. Staff was super knowledgeable and careful. The chef said they recently separated their fryer so one is dedicated to only chips and no cross contamination. So I enjoyed guacamole and chips. So amazing! The fajitas were incredible. Highly recommend
