I love El Monumento and was sad when I was diagnosed with celiac that I couldn’t eat everything from there now. Thankfully I’m still able to eat the chips and salsa, as the chips are done in a separate fryer. But we were told that the rest of the items are made on a line (specifically tacos as well) so they would have cross contamination no matter what.

The server seemed newer and not very knowledgeable about celiac, but he did take all my questions to the kitchen staff. I’d like to try again sometime with a different server but for now I’m happy with the chips ☺

GF chips. All their menu is GF if using corn tortillas. Excellent tasting food and service! I have Celiac and had no issues!

This is one of my favorite places! The chips are GF and fried in their own fryer. Most of the dishes are gluten free, and they’ll be able to highlight the few that are not an option. I have to eat dairy free as well, so, I really enjoy the carnitas plate. They get bonus points for a patio with an incredible view! Wonderful for date night :)

I called ahead and spoke with the manager; the corn chips are done in a dedicated fryer. WIN #1. Additionally, there are only 6-ish entree items that aren’t already inherently gluten free. #winning

NOT GF and do not have a menu for GF, it is just guess work between the wait staff and the customer. This needs to be removed from GF.

The food is excellent and so is the service, but the celiac twins got glutened. We suspect the chips with the chips and salsa--we have eaten those safely at so many places without problems, but not today. Be careful if you are sensitive and think twice if you have CD.
