I was at this location on Saturday, November 25, 2023 where it seemed the location may have been short staffed. This day I asked for a gluten free pancake, was charged for it, but did not receive a gluten free pancake. I alerted the manager at the location the next day as I did not realize until after the location closed what happened. The manager basically wrote me off telling me that just because the pancake did not have powdered sugar on it that the pancake was in fact gluten free. I am generally well taken care of and service is wonderful.

I was slightly nervous to eat here, but ended up having a great experience. My waitress was kind and took precaution double checking everything I asked for. She noted to wipe surfaces/change gloves/ use clean utensils when my order came in. I got an omelette and it was great! I’d come to eat here again.

They had gluten free options for their toasts, pancakes, and waffles. I got gf french toast stuffed with strawberries and cream cheese and it was very good!

Have always been safe at famous toast! They have gluten free bread and pancakes and never have been sick. One thing to note that the gluten free waffles are in shared equipment, so I will never risk that.

Celiac friendly?

Yes

Set up to accommodate GF diets but I’m not sure if it’s great for super-sensitive celiacs. Very chaotic and busy when we were there on weekend, with some food mixups, long waits, and distracted waitstaff who were clearly just trying to get thru the rush. My celiac son was fine afterward and enjoyed his sandwich, but he isn’t usually affected by cross-contamination. Not sure I’d trust, especially busy times, for the two sensitive celiacs in the family. There are a good number of GF menu options, though, which is nice for a family or larger group.

Amazing staff and owner Brian was very helpful. I have eaten here several times. He actually brought their new GF bread for us to sample and I loved and he sent me home with a loaf of their GF bread

ever since going gluten-free, I really have missed a good Reuben sandwich. I was so excited to go out to this restaurant when my husband asked me to lunch and saw how many options there were on the menu not just a plain old salad. I even saw that they had gluten-free wraps, maybe next time I will have that.

DO NOT EAT HERE! I knew it was a risk , and I didn’t listen to my instincts. Big mistake that I am currently paying for 😫. We had breakfast and even though they offer GF pancakes, waffles and French toast, They are not cooked on separate surfaces. The GF French toast is dredged in the same batter as the regular bread. When I asked if the waffle iron surface could be cleaned before making our waffles and we got a “they’ll do their best” and an eye roll. Wish I had gotten up and left at that point.

Came to the restaurant on a busy Sunday morning. I ordered one gf pancake, scrambled eggs with sausage and cheese grits. I was eating my eggs and sausage when someone came over to ask if I liked everything. Then she said she didn’t like the looks of my pancake and wanted to make me a fresh one…… I was very grateful because I too thought it was a little burnt. However now I’m thinking it possibly wasn’t gf and she caught it. She said it didn’t look right to her and she had seen a lot of gf pancakes. So I guess she saved me from getting glutened. I found out that she is the owner. The staff were extremely attentive and I would definitely come back and recommend it!

I really, really wanted to be safe. I wanted a safe place to eat with family. Totally bombed. Within 30-40 minutes I am insanely ill. This was not a small cross contamination. No sure what they did not do, but they definitely made me sick. I had GF waffle, fruit, and 2 eggs. I CAN NEVER GO BACK. I don't play Russian roulette but once.
