Went to Science City with kids in the AM, went to lunch here, and then back to Science City. Good BBQ, plenty of seating, lots of options, the creamy corn was something new I hadn’t had before.

We were visiting MO from California, went to KC and Branson. This was definitely the best BBQ we had on our weeklong trip, probably the best BBQ either of us have had in our lives. We are still talking about it a week later! Melt in your mouth meats. Even the chicken! BBQ sauces are excellent. Try them all, they’re all gluten free! Our server definitely knew what was and wasn’t GF and made a special note for the kitchen as well that I had an allergy. I had the strawberry salad to start (delicious and refreshing) then some chicken and pulled pork and a loaded baked potato. All so good. We had it for lunch and ate so much we skipped dinner that night. Highly recommend.

Best BBQ I’ve ever eaten. They are fully aware of not only gluten, but all allergens and provide an allergen list to cross reference with the menu. Now for the food…spectacular no matter what you order!!!

This was amazing. Found it with my "Find My Gluten Free" app. It did not disappoint. Good gluten free options. Had Blackberry BBQ Salmon which was amazing! The cheese corn was delicious too.. Those were my favorites.. The BBQ lamb ribs were also delicious as were the beans. They didn't really have a gluten free dessert, but were able to get me some ice cream with chocolate sauce. Hubs had the strip with fries and really liked it.. The family fashioned and purple haze were also delicious, but the family fashioned won out. ETA; make a reservation before coming, we were happy we did even though we came earlier than I anticipated needing a reservation. At 5p the wait without a reservation was 30 to 45 min.

I had a fantastic experience here! The waitress was so knowledgeable of the menu and brought up which items might be subject to cross contamination right away. All of the sauces appear to be gluten free and same with the meat (minus the wings which are fried). You can swap the french fries for a wide number of other delicious sides 😋

They had a menu which clearly showed all of the allergens. I had pork burnt ends, brisket, pork ribs, baked beans, and potato salad. I really enjoyed all of it and did not get sick.

Just ate here on our way through Kansas City. Pretty good. Reservations are recommended as it is very popular place—obviously good food. The gluten free menu is thorough and most items were either GF or could be modified to be so. We had a good server despite being very busy.

The reviews don’t lie! This place is awesome with Gluten allergies. Our waiter went over everything I could eat, and was super helpful. Ended up getting a loaded baked potato that came with turkey and burnt ends and it was incredible! Highly recommend

Fantastic food and knowledgeable staff. It was busy when we went, but that did not compromise the safety or the quality of the food. And hands down the best BBQ I’ve ever had.

There was a long wait to dine in, but I was able to put in a pick up order. Their allergen menu is thorough and there are many options for gluten free. Most sides are gluten free, and all of the sauces don’t contain gluten. Most meats are gluten free as well.

Ask for the allergen menu. When they see it, your server will ask what you need and see if you have any questions. Love the burnt ends.

They have a dedicated allergen menu. I had a chopped burnt end sandwich on gluten free bun and a loaded baked potato, plus bbq sauce, and everything stayed down. I took home leftovers, and they were delicious the next day. I toasted up the bun a bit more, it didn’t get soggy. Would recommend.

Pleasantly surprised! Danielle in the take out areas was amazing in guiding us and providing the allergen menu. Got the shrimp and baby back rips with broccoli and coleslaw. Did not get sick. I did not try the sauces but they should have been safe, I just like to limit the risk :)

Our waiter is celiac as well, and he assured me that all bbq, sauces, and sides are gf apart from fries and bread. The meats were delectable- if you like lamb, try the lamb ribs! I loved the cheesy corn. No gluten reaction here.

Loved the ribs! The waiter was really knowledgeable and guided us to share a sampler plate. From that we bought more ribs for dinner that night with family. Really good!
Gluten free menu, staff very knowledgeable. Gluten free beer!
They give you a separate listing of allergens to cross reference with menu. The fries are not labeled as containing gluten, but they are fried in a shared fryer with onion rings. The waitress said I could substitute cole slaw, but the guide said their cole slaw contained gluten.
Delicious! And the manager came out to our table to answer any questions we might have. Good selection of safe, gluten free items and the gluten eaters were super happy as well.

I HIGHLY recommend coming here for anyone gluten free. Most items are gluten free on the menu but they do a good job outlining what to NOT have. Our waiter was great. He asked tons of good questions (change gloves? Did my husband want to also substitute his toast to avoid cross-contamination? Etc). Even when someone else brought out my meal she said “celiac barbecue potato”. I felt very safe eating here and had no issues. It’s also delicious!

Awesome. More gluten free than not. Food was great.

I love eating here. There are so many GF items and I never get sick. Every time I have requested the GF menu the manager always comes out to explain it. Cheesy corn and beans are so good!

The burnt ends and cheesy potatoes were fantastic. Waitstaff was incredibly friendly and helpful navigating the GF options.

Celiac friendly. The fries might have cross-contamination so avoid those.

My daughter had ribs and a few sides. Waitress asked valid questions about preparation and seemed very helpful. The restaurant seems like a bit of a tourist attraction and the staff seemed unable to handle the crowds. Our 1/2 hour wait to be seated turned into well over an hour. We arrived at 4:30 so try to get there earlier if you plan on eating dinner.
Amazing BBQ! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Baby back ribs were so good!!!

I have eaten at this location and the one in Lee's Summit, MO, several times and never had a gluten reaction. Meat, beans, cole slaw, and BBQ sauce are gluten-free, but the fries are NOT. They have gluten-free buns. In my opinion, this is the best BBQ in the Kansas City area. The staff is very knowledgeable about GF. I highly recommend this restaurant for celiacs.

They have a list of items that HAVE gluten, since that is a shorter list than the items that do. If you ask for the Gluten free menu, a manager always comes by to check on your selection. All the sides, except fries, are gluten free.

Eaten here multiple times and it’s always great. The GF menu is an allergen card so it is confusing. Especially since the names of the dishes don’t match with the allergen card. But the staff is always super helpful and friendly! Always feel safe eating here :)
