Visited today for lunch. Food was amazing. It was our first time to have Chinese food since our diagnoses of Celiacs 8 years ago. Small family run local takeaway with a few tables. Lady owner really knows her stuff and takes great care. 2 of our family of 6 have celiacs. We ordered edamame, sautéed broccoli in GF soy sauce, fried chicken rice and Szechuan crispy chicken. The rest of our party loved their food too. Huge portions so lunch tomorrowš. I am extremely sensitive and so good so far - I normally react within a few hours so feeling pretty positive. The shop is a little run down but the food is amazing. We will differently be back.

I ⤠this place so much! I just moved to the Columbia, MD area, and this was one of the first places I tried. I have celiac and I can’t remember the last time I’ve eaten Chinese since I’ve been diagnosed. I have never gotten sick from eating here. Try the Mongolian beef! It’s so yummy!!!

We've been coming here for years. We've ordered takeout 20+ times. I reviewed this place over 2 years ago and decided to post an update. If you have celiac, you need to eat here. We are so fourtunate to live only 15 minutes away, and we come here often. I would drive an hour for my kids to be able to eat safely. The owner, Mae, is wonderful and totally understands cross contamination, gluten, etc. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Tell her "Tim" sent you!

The very best Chinese food in the area. Tons of GF options, and it's always amazing. I've eaten here 20+ times and never had an issue, despite being a very sensitive Celiac.

We were in the area for a soccer tournament and I was researching GF options. I was so excited when I found this place. We did take-out because it’s not really a restaurant, but it was delicious!! It’s been so long since I’ve had general tso’s chicken and it was amazing!!

We were very pleasantly surprised by the number of dishes available GF. Very tasty. No side effects. We will be back! Originally we had intended to eat it but as the place could not be tinier we chose to carry out instead. Everything was delicious.

There food is flavorful and I’d go back again. A lot of gluten free options tho it’s $1.5 extra to make it gluten free. All the ingredients in my dish tasted fresh and cooked to the correct level so it’s just crunchy enough — not soggy and not undercooked.
The place is pretty small only two tables mainly a take out place. Not a whole lot of traffic. Only have been once so not sure if it’s an off day for them for a Saturday night. But I’ll let that speak for itself.

The Chinese food you remember from Before Celiac. Order it now! General Tso’s chicken, fried up crispy in a sticky sweet sauce. The Black Pepper Chicken is sweet and shatteringly crisp. Fried rice does not appear to contain egg (I eat eggs), but is pretty good. GF items clearly marked. Ordered chicken, beef, pork, and shrimp dishes. No issues. Just happy.

The restaurant called to follow up on my order, which they noticed was entirely gluten free. I had ordered gluten free chow mein, which they advised me was simply vegetables and meat. They offered to substitute a rice noodle dish that was delicious!

Total game changer. I have celiac and I haven't gotten sick eating here. Food is delicious - my husband and I love it so much we get dinner here a couple times a month. The owner is great. I went in and talked to her about gluten cross contact, pan sharing, etc etc and she put my mind at ease.
I used to always order the sesame chicken when I ate here but on a whim tried the Mongolian beef. Best thing. It was so good it's my new go to order.

Had General Tso's breaded chicken and that was amazing! I haven't had Chinese food like that in years!! I did not get sick, but i did feel very full because it was such a big portion and it was so delicious! 4 stars because their fried rice wasn't the best i have had. It's very much like taking/food court fried rice. I'd get their chicken any day though!

I haven’t had Chinese takeout in over 5 years since I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. This place is a game changer! I ordered the orange chicken with fried rice and it was delicious! Tasted just like I remember it. Waited until the following morning to write a review and didn’t get sick. They have a lot of other options such as Sesame and General Tso’s chicken. Their online menu indicates which items can be made gluten free (it’s $1 extra). When I picked up the food, the owner verified that my meal was gluten free and labeled the containers. Can’t wait to go back here and try something different!

I hadn’t had Chinese food for years before I found Fire Wok. I am so happy I finally found somewhere safe for celiacs. I’ve eaten here twice and haven’t gotten sick. The general tso’s chicken is awesome. It tastes exactly the way I remember pre-celiac.

Fabulous and once I said gluten free the woman that took and delivered my order was very clear what was and was not okay and seemed rather protective - I felt super comfortable and had Awesome Chinese take out. I live in DC and may come up just to eat here!
Love this place. Been five times in the last three months. Never felt sick.
I did an online order and was very pleased with their gluten free selections. They also include a section where you can write in special notes like having celiac. When I picked up the order the cashier made a point of repeating back our order and also pointing out that they made sure to give me GF fried rice. When comparing it to the other rice you could definitely see the difference but everything was still delicious!

The owner makes a point to keep her GF food safe! I live in NC and haven’t been able to eat Chinese in years. This is a must go to when I’m working in Baltimore.

Excellent gf selections and great taste, very knowledgeable
If you order online and specify gf they add a dollar to everything. Food is good. Sesame chicken is the first I’ve had since being diagnosed celiac.

What a great find. The staff understands what is necessary for a safe, gluten free meal (both ingredients and avoiding cross contamination in the kitchen). So happy to have a local restaurant for Chinese food where we can eat safely.
Yes
Separate GF fryer, friendly staff, they understand the importance of GF. The only reason I give 4 stars is because I felt the food could have been a little better, but it was good and we will be returning.
Yes
Owner told us they have a dedicated frier for GF fried options. She also says they have a separate prep and cooking area. Many GF options on the menu.
Great food (no MSG, fresh ingredients, white sauce isn’t even too salty), they clearly mark GF items and I had no problems as a sensitive celiac!

I was very impressed with being able to have safe gluten free Chinese at a restaurant! That’s unheard of for me so I was thrilled! They were very knowledgeable and put me at ease! I’m very sensitive with cross contamination and they made me feel very safe.

Good food, looks like a hole in the wall but lots of gluten free options. I did not get sick and I am sensitive to cross contamination.
