Were there any measures taken to prevent cross-contamination?
-Yes, my food was prepared separately and gloves were changed when inquired about.
What did you order?
-A steak and cheese on a gluten free roll. I've always been able to get a gluten free roll from here but they do state that they will sometimes have issues with their supplier and not be able to get them.
How was the service?
-Great service, I have done both to-go and sat in many times and was always asked if they needed needed change gloves and if it was an allergy.

This restaurant should not be on this app. No one cares about gluten free lettuce. Lettuce is gluten free everywhere. This place has no gluten free rolls. Unless a place has gluten free bread products, the establishment does NOT belong on this app!!!!! Whoever is going that needs to cut it out!!!

When they have the GF bun it is a great option for something fast. If you ask they will put foil on the toaster and change gloves etc. they mark the GF items too.

Gluten free bread was delicious! So fluffy and tasted “normal” instead of dense and chemically. It was a bit smaller than the other “medium” subs in the order but I didn’t care because it was the closest to real bread I’ve found in a while. I didn’t watch them make it so I don’t fully know about cross contamination but I did get mustard and mayo packets on the side instead of it being included and my sub was wrapped in foil separately and differently than the rest of the order.

Had a great experience at Firehouse Subs. Staff was knowledgeable about gluten cross contact and explained all their precautions to me. They even knew that the pickles should be avoided. I got the turkey with melted cheese on top and their standard Shar hoagie roll. Delicious!
They have solid allergy protocols (using fresh containers, changing gloves, toasting on foil). The cashier said that all of the toppings are GF, but I played it safe (she didn’t seem 100% certain, and things like meatballs are a red flag). I played it safe and had a turkey sub. It was fine, but not worth the $18 it cost.
