Very reliable. Excellent food, Udi's gluten free bread available.

Been to First Watch on the East Coast, and they were very GF aware. The Troy location, not so much. Ate here once, asked for a GF menu l, and was told to check their website. Not overly confident on the cross contamination procedures as well. I ordered a salad I had had on the East Coast, with the modifications from the last visit. But, I won't be returning too soon.

I liked their quinoa bowl. Gluten free options are clearly labeled. Make sure you call ahead if you go on a weekend

They make it very clear when you order that they don’t guarantee against cross-contamination and you are responsible for the risk. We didn’t stay.

Yum! Several choices and knowledgeable staff. They’ll write up an “allergy ticket” and make sure that gloves are swapped. Download the app to get in line digitally... there’s always a wait!

They offer Udi’s GF bread you can sub on any of their sandwiches. They have salads, soups and some breakfast dishes marked gluten free on their menu. You do need to specify that it is an allergy.

Knowledgeable staff. Gf menu that is hard to read. All allergens are listed all together. Plan on extra time to figure it out. Do not get the gluten free toast. At this time and location they toast it in the same toaster as regular bread. I get eggs and bacon. Oatmeal is not certified gluten-free.

a good chain restaurant. we've eaten at them in several states. staff is almost always knowledgeable and management always has been. some gf options address on menu abs others available if yout ask. breakfast meats are gf. omelets are safe and they now have gf toast instead of corn tortillas.

They just opened and are still getting their “flow” worked out, so service was generally pretty slow. I had a delicious turkey burger and was comfortable with the server’s knowledge and follow through

We walked out after 10 minutes because no one bothered to take our order. Only GF items on the menu were the power bowls.

Other than eggs or fruit, they only had one breakfast item that was gluten free. I couldn’t even have the gluten free toast because they admitted to using the same toaster. So what’s the point??!!

I had a vegetarian potato hash with fried eggs and a piece of gluten free toast. It was really good! Sadly they didn’t have a separate toaster but they put it on a dedicated gluten free grill. I’d definitely eat here again!

Be cautious if you have Celiac Disease! While they do serve Udis gluten free bread, they use the same tongs and toaster as the regular bread. I didn't find this out until my 3rd time dining there, even though I mentioned that I have Celiac every time! Other than that, their food is pretty good. Their bowls and omlettes can be made gluten free and are very tasty!

This is a fantastic place for breakfast, brunch, or lunch! Their staff was very knowledgeable. They assured me that they change gloves and cooked my food in a clean skillet. I had an omelette with greens and a piece of GF bread. They did not toast the bread because they don’t have a way to guarantee that it is safe. I had a very pleasant experience and I will be back. They do have a disclaimer on their menu but I felt safe and did not have a reaction.

First time at this newly opened breakfast place. Was a little hesitant to try it since there wasn’t any reviews on it. Glad I tried it! Yum! And I did not get sick! I had the chorizo omelette and it was delicious. I did not get the GF bread, for fear that they would use the same toaster as regular bread. Will definitely be back 😍

Left without eating, very disappointed in the lack of knowledge in staff- including a manager, waiter, and the kitchen staff. Their allergen menu is extensive, but I still got conflicting answers on what was and wasn’t safe for me to eat. I left due to the uncertainty of all of this- fearing I would get sick. Sad because it all looked delicious. They definitely need some education and to make sure they are delivering safe food.

This place offers an Allergen Menu! You just have to ask. It was a wonderful atmosphere! Very friendly! (I have a Wheat allergy only )

The food was delicious but I got the Udi's toast and assumed they used a dedicated toaster. I definitely should have asked. I've since found out they do not. I've been sick for days. It says online you can ask them to toast your bread on tin foil on the grill. They need to educate their wait staff better.

Ordered the Cobb salad with a side of gf toast. Specified about having celiac and asked if they could not use the same toaster as normal bread and was assured it would be okay. Waited an hour for the food and put it in the Nima and gluten was found. Waited additionally for the new food. Very slow service and lack of knowledge on food safety. Don’t come here if you are sensitive.

The waitress brought us an allergen list and was knowledgeable about food allergies. The kitchen changed gloves prior to making my daughter’s meal and it was brought out separately. She ordered pretty basic with egg whites, bacon, orange juice, and a fruit bowl but it was still nice for my celiac daughter to be able to eat breakfast out without risk of being sick. No illness after eating their food. Would definitely eat there again.

I ate avocado toast on gluten free bread and it was amazing! The staff will do everything that they can to make sure your food is gluten free and you will not get sick. It is a great breakfast and brunch place. I totally recommend it!

Food was okay. Eggs Benedict overcooked. Waitress did not know much about gluten free eating. CHEFS DID NOT KNOW IF PRODUCTS WERE GLUTEN FREE. Shared toasters, so gluten free toast is cross contaminated.

There are gluten free things on this menu. However, the staff was not very aware. Given that this place is listed on this app, I thought there might be some GF waffles or pancakes or at least bread for toast. This is not the case.

Celiac aware such that they knew they didn’t have a dedicated toaster and told me. My omelette also came out with an “allergy” tag in it.

They had their menu marked with gluten free options. I had their quinoa pesto chicken bowl and it was amazing! You can also substitute their toast for gluten free bread with their other meals!

Not a great place to go if you have food allergies . I told them I was gluten-free and they brought me regular toast with butter (also said I am dairy free). Most of the menu does not show gluten-free (GF) anywhere. If you are dairy free everything has cheese for breakfast so beware. When I explained that I need something both dairy and gluten free I definitely got a cold feeling from the waiter. The only reason I give them two stars is because they do offer Udi’s gluten free bread, although in my case they forgot to bring it to me and instead brought me regular wheat toast.

Only one true GF option, the quinoa bowls. They have Udi’s bread but you can’t have butter due to cross contamination. Staff seemed knowledgeable.

Just tried First Watch for the first time, to grab takeout lunch. Risky, but I needed to eat. I ordered a power wrap, was expecting it to be on a bed of greens instead of the tortilla. I was pleasantly surprised that they turned it into a gf egg-white power omelet! They wrote “wheat allergy” in red pen on my order slip & it was written on my food container, too. Made me feel like they cared, and not uncomfortable at all. I’ll definitely be back to try more!

I don’t think I’d go back unfortunately. The waiter was really nice and accommodating, but the menu is confusing and the nutrition menu they hand you is so hard to read. You’d think a nice restaurant like this would be better. The regular menu said the power bowls are Gf , but the nutrition menu said it had gluten. Our waiter checked with the manager and he said it was a typo. Going against my better judgement I got it and felt sick after. I have celiac, so Im always careful, but yeah . I’d go somewhere else for breakfast.

The server was very friendly and even offered samples of the juice bar options. There is no separate gluten free menu, but they do have Gluten free bread (Udis) to substitute out bread. The food was tasty and very evident “Farm to Fork” concept. The food tasted clean, so walked away not feeling weighed down, but full at the same time.

I was very unsure of this place before going in. They only have two items on the menu that are listed as gluten free but it is a breakfast place so generally eggs, bacon, potatoes, and other breakfast items like that are safe. They do carry Udi’s bread. I asked the waitress a lot of questions before the manager came to my table. He stated that he was new to gluten free and didn’t understand what I was asking, however he said that he would accommodate me and my friend as needed. We explained our intolerance and he cooked all of our food himself. Neither of us got sick and the food was really good! Long story short: You should be safe, but if you have a high sensitivity skip it.

Super cute spot! Not a ton of options. I enjoyed the warm honey pecan salad with no bread. (they use the same toaster for their UDI’s bead)

They were EXTREMELY accommodating. The chef has celiac disease, so takes it very seriously. My waitress was also very knowledgeable. I had a chorizo omelette with breakfast potatoes, chicken sausage, and Udis toast. They toasted the bread on the oven over a piece of foil.

I got glutened. I told the waiter my food needs to be gluten free. He brought out regular toast on the plate next to the bowl with the rest of the food which was also on the plate. I asked if it was gluten free toast he said no. He took back the food and returned with the same food. I knew I should not have ate it but I did. And now glutened. They do have a dedicated gluten free toaster according to the waiter. They are somewhat knowledgeable about gluten but need better execution.

I ordered gluten free toast. When I took a bite I felt the effects immediately. When I inspected the toast I noticed it had black specks on it from another piece of toast that obviously wasn't from mine because it was barely cooked. When I told her she was like "well what do you want me to do about it?" I said tell your manager it's unsafe to cook gf toast in the same toaster as regular bread. She said "ok." When she came back she told me she told the manager about what happened and that I should have told her I had an allergy because some people order gf bread "just because." She didn't even offer to take it off my bill not 6o mention the food took 1 hour to come out!!! This was the worst experience i've ever had since I've been gf for 7 years.

Not all First Watch are the same. This one was SO GREAT. My daughter has celiac. From the hostess to the server to the chef, they all came out and spoke with us. They made sure her omelet and avocado bread was safe from start to finish. Even told us they could not toast the Udi’s bread bc they don’t have a safe toasting method. Changed gloves and used separate cooking utensils. She did not get sick and her food was delicious.
