Been to First Watch on the East Coast, and they were very GF aware. The Troy location, not so much. Ate here once, asked for a GF menu l, and was told to check their website. Not overly confident on the cross contamination procedures as well. I ordered a salad I had had on the East Coast, with the modifications from the last visit. But, I won't be returning too soon.
The waitstaff try very hard but my friend is sick every time. She has tried three times. No more.
They make it very clear when you order that they don’t guarantee against cross-contamination and you are responsible for the risk. We didn’t stay.
They have a great breakfast menu with gf and df options. They also have gf toast.
Allergen menu not super user friendly. Our server told us there is GF bread and any sandwhcu/ toast/ French toast can be made with it. She did put an allergen note on our order and with a view of the kitchen we saw glovegloves being changed.
Food was great and super friendly service
I was assured by the waitress that all safety precautions are made for Celiac customers. I was told they have a dedicated area for preparing food for customers with Celiac and food allergies. They use a dedicated toaster for gf toast. I had a veggie omelet, fruit, and toast. Potatoes are prepared on a grill also used foods with gluten. I felt fine after eating there.
