I was very disappointed with the service and menu here. They recently changed menu items & when I came in with my family for Sunday brunch I was told I needed to get on-line to look up the menu - never offered to print it for me so I wouldn't need to search the web - when my phone wouldn't view the full site and I couldn't see my options they did print me a menu. The options are awful - all dressings contain Gluten as well as all condiments (mayo, ketchup. Etc). Talked to the manager and he was friendly but didn't like my complaint. After tying to read through the menu with me he do ally agreed it was very confusing. I told him this change was in the wrong direction and very frustrating & disappointing. Told him I will not be back until I see a more gluten free friendly menu. Also told him to check out Cap City's GF me and compare. Trying to help them out but think they were more on the defense than really listening.

Ate here at my family’s choice. The server was politely informed me that cross contamination was possible for all menu items. I ordered the item the server deemed safest - quinoa kale bowl. Still got sick from cross contamination. Server was not helpful in providing accommodations.

The host told me they do not have a gluten free menu when requested then said, “we don’t really do that.” Our waitress told me she was unable to provide me any information. I requested she ask the chef and she came back out and said the chef recommended I order what I would guess to be gluten free. One of my worst eating out experiences.

So little food on their menu for gluten free needs. If you want you’re wanting more then eggs! And waitresses are rude and tend to give you an attitude if you discuss gluten free options.

They have lots of gluten free options plus gluten free toast. The only thing you’ll miss out on are the pancakes and waffles, but they have a great menu so it’s not a big deal. However, they don’t have a gluten free menu, but they might hand you a useless allergen list which pretty much says nothing is gluten free because most of the dishes come with bread which can be substituted for gluten free bread, so just ignore it and talk to the waitress instead.

The staff was knowledgeable. There is a dedicated toaster for GF bread (with a sign by the regular toaster that says not to put in GF bread). No official GF menu, but they have a less formal printout from 2015 of the main options. It was a bit out of date but with the help of the server, I could order. I feel fine as of now (about 30 minutes after eating). There are multiple locations.

The First Watch team was most helpful — the restaurant (I believe all locations) offer Udi’s gluten-free bread — and they WILL make French toast using be bread. The kitchen is NOT gluten-free, so there is cross-contamination risk for those with Celiac, but the team was knowledge and ready to work with us. Would definitely go back!

There is not a separate gluten free menu, but the manager and staff were very accommodating to all of my questions. They mark the order sheet super well so everyone in the kitchen knows you have a gluten allergy. I have Celiac, felt safe eating here, and did not get sick.

Stopped here in March 2018 and had a great breakfast. They can sub gf bread (at no charge!) on any breakfast or lunch. Seem to have a good handle on server and kitchen training. Would be nice to see gf pancakes or waffles. I had the vegetarian skillet w eggs and my husband had the quinoa bowl (he was not very excited). Neither of us had issues. The home fries are awesome and very fresh. Great brunch drink options.

This place is hit and miss. I received gluten-free food with toast on it, croutons on the salad and who knows what else the few times I’ve become ill from eating there. If you stick with the eggs and fruit and they remember not to put toast on it you’ll be fine.

I’ve eaten here a lot for breakfast, and I substitute the toast for fruit, no problems. They pride themselves on the menu for preparing things “off the line” if you notify them of food allergies. Last time, however, I was served my GF omelette with huge pieces of bread laying on top of it. I repeated to the server that I had celiac disease also known as an ALLERGY and that I couldn’t eat what was given to me, I then watched them go back to the kitchen and re-plate the omelette. I had to explain that I would be very sick if I ate that because it had touched bread. They remade it and comped my meal. Pretty unnerving, but perhaps it was just the Altamonte location. I’ll have to be careful now.

Love this place. The quinoa bowls are gluten-free and delicious. There are only two choices, one breakfast & one lunch, but they are both amazing so who cares? Their kale tonic is the best in town. But even better is that they have gluten-free bread now! It is just Udi’s so I wasn’t going in with high expectations, but it was grilled to PERFECTION! I am very gluten sensitive & have never gotten sick eating here.

Updating my previous review: the restaurant has changed markedly since we first started coming here & our fellow diners were very unhappy with their experience today - long wait times despite many empty tables seemingly available, extra charges for maple syrup etc. I didn’t have confidence they could be gluten free any more so didn’t eat at the restaurant, but I think we would be reluctant to take visitors there again.

I love this restaurant. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is they are limited on gluten free options. You can still get some great items- like egg dishes, omelets, potatoes and fruit. They just started carrying gluten free bread this week, so I think they may be trying to become more gluten friendly.
