First came to this chain in tampa. Ended up going for breakfast for 3 days straight. Was happy to see one open here. Good quality, has GF bread, wait staff make a note for kitchen. No issues. Gotten scrambled eggs cooked with oil, avocado and bacon.

Morris Plains franchise has worked with me in person and in a crazy phone call/Uber delivery - I haven’t been cross contaminated yet - perhaps I’ve just been lucky. The food is excellent, inventive, and tasty!

Would not go back. Waitress said they could do gluten free but then brought my omelette over with regular toast and non-gf home fries. When I explained that I couldn’t eat it she asked if it would be okay for them to just take the gluten containing items off of the plate. This was after I had said that even 1 crumb could make me sick. I am also dairy intolerant and my omelette came covered in butter

To start off, I have been to First Watch many times with and without my family (who eat gluten-free), and every single time the staff has been accommodating and very friendly.
They have plenty of gluten-free breakfast options with foods that are inherently gluten-free (eggs, bacon, fruit, etc.). You can substitute any bread on the menu for gluten-free bread, including the french toast! They always ask if you have a gluten allergy to make sure the kitchen accommodates you.

I am bummed. Food was delicious but my stomach is paying bad. I told the server I was extremely allergic to gluten and she seemed understanding. I shouldn't have came here. ☹ it's things like this that make me never feel safe eating out. I know there is a warning with it being a chain but at other locations I haven't had a problem.

My daughter has Celiac and I’m gf. They prepare allergy meals in a separate area of the kitchen. She ordered gf French toast and it came out seperately and marked. Our server was very knowledgeable, but others there were not. It has now been a couple of hours since we went and my daughter and I both feel good with no signs of being glutened.

They are very considerate when I order gluten free bread for toast and inform them of my allergies. I'm sure other locations might be less kind but this one is great.
Cross contact is possible I'm sure, but I believe they car enough to make some effort

Decent brunch food. Whenever I mention gluten free they know what I'm talking about and seem to be careful. I feel a bit rushed though, they usually give us the check before we're halfway done with the food.
