While they are not certified gluten free they are conscious about your request. They will make you s lettuce wrap for your burger and mark it accordingly. I did contact the company about getting gluten free buns as an option. Please see below their reply:
Thank you for taking the time to reach out to Five Guys. We have received your suggestion about adding a gluten free bun to our menu. Your enthusiasm for our brand means the world to us! Currently, we are not planning to add any additional items to our menu which includes a gluten free bun alternative. This is because the bread we serve is a signature to our brand and consists of the same secret recipe we have been using since we started out almost 30 years ago. Simply put, we have yet to find a gluten free bun we feel meets the flavor of our burgers, dogs, and sandwiches. However, I will certainly pass this along to the person who oversees menu development as we greatly appreciate your feedback and suggestions. We'll continue searching for a perfect gluten free bun for Five Guys! We'd like you to know that we actually suggest bringing your favorite gluten free bun with you as our bun-less options make for a simple transfer though due to safety concerns please note we are unable to prepare your meal using this bun. While we do all we can to avoid it, there is always a risk of cross contamination. Be sure to use caution! For your convenience our kitchens are always kept open so you may watch your food being prepared. Feel free to let us know if you ever have further questions or ooncerns. Thank you for your interest in Five Guys! We're so glad to have you as our customer! Victoria Cerminaro Customer Relations Coordinator
While they are not seeking any menu updates right now they are forwarding our request. Maybe if more people send inquiries using the website they would consider filling our request. In any event they responded in a timely manner and were very polite in their email reply. I will keep returning along with my own bun.
Blessings to you all!
Whole family sick on gluten after asking for gluten free burgers.
My husband told the person at the register we had a gluten allergy on two of the burgers we ordered. They always put them in a separate bag. When my husband got home all the burgers were in one bag and mine had cheese even after my husband said no dairy. I called the manager Avery and he said “sorry, we are so busy “ He offered to remake it, but living 20 minutes away, we just threw it in the trash. So disappointed. The places I xan safely eat at are becoming less and less. Not sure why management doesn’t take an extra 10 minutes to train employees. Grrrrr.

We have ordered here before and thought it was somewhat safe. Tonight we had a horrible experience. My husband went in to order and pick up. He told the person at the register that the burger was to be gf and df because his wife has an allergy. They always put mine in a separate bag because of this. He came home with one bag, and mine had cheese on it. Also touching the other burgers that had buns. When I called and talked to Avery the manger, he said “sorry we are busy” Wow!!! I will never go back in there again. Very disappointed.
He did offer to remake, but we live 20 minutes away.

my lettuce wrap Was mostly lettuce with two small half dollar pieces of. Meat. One employee was playing drums with my silverware before putting it in my bag. I have had better meals at mc Donald's for the cost and was very disappointed

I will get a burger in a bowl and fries and have never had any issues. I believe I asked about gluten free/celiac disease items awhile ago and they can do the glove change/grill wipe. They do a good job at keeping items separated regardless too.
