While they are not certified gluten free they are conscious about your request. They will make you s lettuce wrap for your burger and mark it accordingly. I did contact the company about getting gluten free buns as an option. Please see below their reply:
Thank you for taking the time to reach out to Five Guys. We have received your suggestion about adding a gluten free bun to our menu.
Your enthusiasm for our brand means the world to us!
Currently, we are not planning to add any additional items to our menu which includes a gluten free bun alternative. This is because the bread we serve is a signature to our brand and consists of the same secret recipe we have been using since we started out almost 30 years ago. Simply put, we have yet to find a gluten free bun we feel meets the flavor of our burgers, dogs, and sandwiches.
However, I will certainly pass this along to the person who oversees menu development as we greatly appreciate your feedback and suggestions. We'll continue searching for a perfect gluten free bun for Five Guys!
We'd like you to know that we actually suggest bringing your favorite gluten free bun with you as our bun-less options make for a simple transfer though due to safety concerns please note we are unable to prepare your meal using this bun.
While we do all we can to avoid it, there is always a risk of cross contamination. Be sure to use caution! For your convenience our kitchens are always kept open so you may watch your food being prepared.
Feel free to let us know if you ever have further questions or ooncerns.
Thank you for your interest in Five Guys! We're so glad to have you as our customer!

While they are not seeking any menu updates right now they are forwarding our request. Maybe if more people send inquiries using the website they would consider filling our request. In any event they responded in a timely manner and were very polite in their email reply. I will keep returning along with my own bun.
Blessings to you all!

Whole family sick on gluten after asking for gluten free burgers.
No
They were extra careful when k mentioned celiac. Gloves changed, new area to make my lettuce wrap burger and it came flagged. Only fries go in fryer

As of 5/9/24…. Currently under construction but usually these are great places to go (get a lettuce wrap or bowl and tell them you have an “allergy” and they will be careful and change gloves). They only fry fries so they are safe. Hope they are back soon!

The only thing they fry are potatoes No seasonings on meats, dedicated side for the meat versus the buns No GF bun but they do offer lettuce wrap, and a bowl option No sauce or additives on grilled vegetables. Only cross-contamination I saw was when building the hamburgers. But very willing to change gloves.

Went here before leaving on a trip. BIG MISTAKE! The lady at the register had a blank stare as we tried to explain to her my Celiac/severe gluten allergy. She spoke to the cook in Spanish. He nodded and said ok, no gluten. Within 10 minutes of eating I could tell I had been glutened. Made my trip miserable but it was my fault. I should have not eaten it. I’m new to this and am still naive to believe people will understand.
