I always order a burger in a bowl & they immediately ask if it’s an allergy or a preference. Then they tell the cook. The fries are safe and separately fried deliciousness. This particular five guys always has the nicest people working here!

Dedicated fryer. You can order the burger in a lettuce wrap and they ask if you have an allergy and change their gloves. The only gluten in the restaurant is the bun

Why is this place recommended on here?
My son has celiac disease and we stopped in Orlando on our way home from North FL for an early dinner. While the first place we stopped had rave reviews on their gluten free options, the not so knowledgeable staff and the obvious careless handling in the kitchen told us otherwise. So we traveled to Five Guys where all my concerns melted away. The 2 gentlemen in the kitchen promptly changed their gloves and started making my sons lettuce wrapped burger. They changed their gloves at least 2 more times as they had handled other items in between. Happy kid with a happy belly is a happy mom! Five Stars for Five Guys!

This is the place I go when I want mass quantities of fries! You can get a burger with no bun in a dish or with a lettuce wrap. nothing special but I never had any issues afterward.
Yes
Order taker asks about allergy and informs cook staff. I like that I can see them following the protocols (change gloves, clean grill, etc). Dedicated french-fry fryer. Good food.

Refused to even serve me they said they can’t prevent any cross contamination even though the only gluten containing item in this location is the buns. Wouldn’t change gloves or utensils or anything just told me no.

April 26, 2014. These guys handle the 'Allergy burger' very well. Ask for it by that name, they'll know how to treat your food prep. They have a dedicated frier and make a mean lettuce wrapped burger. I always order extra lettuce and they don't fall apart. I never have an issue with cross-contamination at this chain.

They were so careful when preparing my burger and french fries. They do not have gluten free buns. The fries are safe to eat. I order a burger without a bun and bring in my own bun.

Ordered burger with no bun. Guy was helpful in answering questions. They hard a list of ingredients for different sauces. And marked it was for allergy on the order.
