Five Guys has a reputation for being understanding when it comes to allergies and Celiac. This location gets it, but you have to be vigilant. Be sure to remind them that staff should change gloves and utensils. We have refused food that wasn’t prepared this way to be safe. Benefit of an open kitchen is you can watch out for red flags!!
Yes
Staff was knowledgeable about cross contamination and they have separate grills for buns and patties, but the staff still used the same spatulas and gloves to handle our order and other people’s buns.
Five Guys serves amazing food. Not only do they have a dedicated fryer so you don't have to worry about cross contaminated French fries, but the grill is right in front of you, and I've never seen a bun touch the grill while they prepare your meal. The only reason this isn't a five star rating is that, as delicious as their food is, it is quite greasy, literally seeping through the bag. This can disturb the stomach a little, so definitely pace yourself and don't overeat. That being said, I love eating burgers and fries at Five Guys

delicious burgers. they are really good about wearing gloves to handle food & not using buns for my order. they also ONLY serve burgers, hot dogs & fries, so no worries about cross-contaminatin here! go ahead & eat the fries... as long as you don't have a peanut allergy, that is. (they use peanut oil & serve peanuts in the facility).
Order taker asks about allergy and informs cook staff. I like that I can see them following the protocols (change gloves, clean grill, etc). Dedicated french-fry fryer. Good food.

Refused to even serve me they said they can’t prevent any cross contamination even though the only gluten containing item in this location is the buns. Wouldn’t change gloves or utensils or anything just told me no.

April 26, 2014. These guys handle the 'Allergy burger' very well. Ask for it by that name, they'll know how to treat your food prep. They have a dedicated frier and make a mean lettuce wrapped burger. I always order extra lettuce and they don't fall apart. I never have an issue with cross-contamination at this chain.

They were so careful when preparing my burger and french fries. They do not have gluten free buns. The fries are safe to eat. I order a burger without a bun and bring in my own bun.

Ordered burger with no bun. Guy was helpful in answering questions. They hard a list of ingredients for different sauces. And marked it was for allergy on the order.
