As with other FG locations, you can get a bunless burger (in a bowl or lettuce wrap) and upon ordering they ask if it's for an allergy. Fries are fried in a dedicated frier and so far so good at this location. Update after several more visits here, staff remains polite, knowledgeable, and helpful. My wife with celiac has never gotten sick after about 8 times.

I am celiac so must be very careful on what and where I eat. I was glutened at this site last week after explicitly telling them that I was celiac and have a severe allergy. I decided to try it again tonight but decided to watch them. I explained to the lady at the order area that I was celiac and had a severe wheat allergy and requested a change of gloves before preparing my food. I also explained that I had been made sick the week before at this location. She apologized and assured me that there would be no cross-contamination and asked me to watch as they prepare my food. Within a minute, the lady preparing food grabbed some buns and then picked up my lettuce wrap. I stopped her and explained that it was cross- contaminated and they needed to start again. No comment except for a blank look. This time they had another employee put on fresh gloves and prepare the lettuce wrap. So far so good. Then they slid it down the counter and the lady with clean gloves walked away. Another lady wrapped up two buns for another order and then grabbed my lettuce wrap by the foil sheet. I stopped her and explained it was an allergy. She then proceeded to tell me that I should have told them and they couldn’t be responsible if I didn’t tell them. I told her that I had already told them twice and they had already had to throw away one meal. Then she changed gloves and finished preparing my meal. Although I have not had problems at other 5 Guys locations, the employees are not trained at all on how to prevent cross- contamination. Eat here at your peril or watch them very closely!

The fries alone make it worth it! They only serve burgers, fries and hot dogs, so the fryer is dedicated. And the fries are delicious. They do have malted vinegar next to the ketchup, so I had to remember that that has gluten! The burger was served up in a separate bag, wrapped in lettuce, per request. It was huge and tasty. It’s a little bit pricey though - we shared a drink, shared a medium fry, and each had a single burger and it was $20.

Went last night. Mentioned celiac, they asked if they needed to change gloves, and the man behind the counter taking our order yelled to the others doing prep to change gloves. We got lettuce-wrapped burgers and a large Cajun fry and my husband (the celiac) did not get sick. He is a very sensitive celiac even if it's just cross contact, so we were happy they took good care of us here.

We have come to this location several times. My 19 month old son has celiac disease, and seems to do quite well with it. The cashiers always seem knowledgeable and quick to notify the crew multiple times that they are working with a food allergy. A great experience every time.

Unfortunately, this place is not safe and staff is not trained for gluten or any other allergies. The only training they have is to keep fresh vegetables safe from raw meets. Every time id go there I would feel little sick and now I know why. They don’t change gloves after they touch buns, only after touching raw meat. Bummer, loved their food. I did talk to manager, who promised he would talk to general manager, but I don’t have high hopes.
