The menu has a ton of gluten free options! The staff was super friendly and the food was exceptional!

Food was great and the server was so helpful. They don't have a dedicated fryer so options for Celiac are a bit more limited than the menu indicates but they are happy to make accommodations. Server put a celiac tag on my order to make sure it was safe for me.

Great experience here, items marked on the menu and the server understood Celiac. She let me know the house chips are not gf because they are fried in a shared fryer. I had the Cuban sandwich and it was delicious!

I was so excited for this place and they didn’t disappoint. I got takeout and ordered online and was able to mark it for celiac. While the fried chicken is technically GF, it’s a shared fryer and I was so glad they called me to ask if that was okay! I felt safe because of that. I ended up eating here for 4 meals because I felt so safe and had no issues. The food itself was incredible and arguable the best food I’ve had since having celiac

Fantastic experience at the Floridian. Lauren was an excellent waitress, very knowledgeable and helpful. Food was excellent. Four diners, two of which were gluten free both gf meals were great. Two non gf meals were enjoyed tremendously. Pulled pork and waffles was awesome. Wish I was staying longer in St. Augustine so I could come back. No stomach or intestinal trauma at all!!!

Tons of GF options, including dishes with biscuits and waffles! Can’t have anything fried, as there is a shared fryer. Our waiter was knowledgeable avoiding cross-contamination. I got the BBQ & Waffles and did not get sick, it was delicious!

Lovely place. Staff are nice.
I told the waitress about my gluten allergy when ordering a meal that was confirmed gf (a plain burger with a bowl of salad with dressing on the side). My family was served their meal and she came out with a cheeseburger, toppings and a clearly not GF bun and the salad on the plate.
I mentioned how this isn’t my order since I have a gluten allergy. She apologized (could you imagine if I ate) and took it back.
She was very kind to bring me GF biscuits while I waited for my meal. My family was almost done eating their food when I saw my food and then they went away with it. I thought…hmmm must not be my food (one plain burger on a plate and a bowl of salad). A couple of minutes later she arrives with my food (it was my food) but with an additional plate of toppings that I didn’t ask for. Basically it was another mistake in which it was on the burger and this made my GF toast soggy and gross. I didn’t complain to her since I needed something other than bread. Didn’t like the burger but it was cooked well.
Basically I left hungry but my family was fed and the restaurant gave us a discount on the burger.
My family liked their meals a lot.
I am giving it 3 stars since my family liked it. For me, I give it 2 stars since the staff was nice but they served me a meal with gluten.

Although, many of the items are gf, like the fried chicken, they use a shared fryer, so it's not celiac safe. The food is pretty good, however I was disappointed in the biscuits & belly for $14.75. It says it's enough for a meal or to share, so our family of 4 ordered it as an appetizer (it's listed as an appetizer on the menu)...nope, it's 2 tiny gf biscuits and 2 1"x3" pcs of pork fat. I was not impressed with it, but overall the atmosphere is really cool.

Server was knowledgeable and friendly, able to explain which items were safe or not without having to say more than “I have a gluten allergy”. The burger came on sliced bread instead of a bun, but it was very tasty!

Staff was very knowledgeable about all food sensitivities and safe food handling practices. Tried to order a Tito’s and soda and the bartender told me they distilled their own spirits and I hesitated and he immediately was like, it’s corn, gluten free. Mah dude knew 😂 Food was good and felt safe eating there. Did not get sick, went back once more during my work trip.

Absolutely the BEST restaurant experience we had while in St. Augustine. Everyone, and I mean everyone that worked there was knowledgable about Celiac disease. GF items are clearly marked. Fried items are not celiac safe, but there were so many options it really didn't matter. My 9 year old daughter who is usually disappointed in the GF menu wanted to write the waitress a note thanking her for such a yummy meal. The food is insanely good!! We will absolutely be back!

I had the GF biscuits with pork. I swapped the hot honey for regular because I have GERD on top of celiac. The options are as extensive as any place with a GF options (not a ton of choices but more than none) I had a burger with a salad. All good. Honestly the salad dressing was the absolute best I could drink it

Stellar quality food with gf available menu items clearly marked. I really respect the allergy awareness this place has. I got the grain bowl with salmon and was overjoyed at having healthy dressing (emulsified olive oil & vinegar with spices). Gluten free brownies were available for dessert as well - really grateful for the high quality ingredients and the transparency.

The food here was absolutely fabulous!! Lots of GF options. We had the pork belly for an app.. I got the shrimp and grits and hubby got the waffles with pulled pork. Everything was delicious! I will say they don’t have a dedicated fryer so some of their “GF” things are fried and therefore not safe for a celiac like myself. But after telling my waiter I was celiac he told me what to not order that was fried.

Restaurant is very cute with indoor and outdoor seating. Extremely clean with good service. When I asked about gf I was told the chef has celiac. I had very high expectations for a gf Cuban sandwich but unfortunately I didn’t read the description carefully and was disappointed. My fault. The taste was good but definitely not a Cuban. It was served on Udi’s bread which immediately fell apart when I tried to pick it up. The caramel brownie is served warm with caramel drizzle and whipped cream. That was a real winner!

Went here on our last night in St. Augustine and we definitely saved the best for last! The Floridian offers so many tasty GF options. Everything with ** beside it could be made or modified to GF. Our waiter was excellent and was up front about cross contamination. He said there’s no dedicated fryer and told me things to avoid since I’m sensitive. I safely had the biscuit dish and the waffle dish! Couldn’t decide between which one so ordered both and took home leftovers!! SO GOOD. I did not get sick and really enjoyed the food and our experience. It was a slow night, so we enjoyed the patio to ourselves. Totally recommend!

I felt very comfortable eating here. The online menu specifically mentions Celiac which I rarely see. The menu at the restaurant does not have the same note but I was prepared with my usual explanation and questions. Our waitress was very good and let me know that they do not have a dedicated fryer so I would need to stay away from anything fried. I had the grits with shrimp and it was delicious!

Ok- so A LOT of the items on the menu are marked gluten free BUT that does not mean they are not exposed to cross contamination (which in my opinion means these items shouldn’t be listed as gf). If the item is fried then it is exposed to gluten because they use a shared fryer. Make sure you let you waiter/ess know you’re dining GF. We ended up getting the “biscuit & belly” as an app, which was VERY tasty. (We were planning on the “chips & dips“ but had to pass bc of the fryer situation.) And I got the shrimp n grits for my entree. It was good.

This sparkling gem of a restaurant was everything the reviews promised it would be. Creative, fresh, delicious dishes and many gluten free. I was shocked and very pleased about the shrimp and sausage pilau with gluten-free biscuit, the gluten-free waffles with pulled pork and several other choices. We sat at the bar, which we prefer, since the service is usually great. Our bartender was so attentive and knew the menu inside out. Can’t say enough good things about this place, including the Old Florida vibe and a decor. Great location in old town Saint Augustine.

I ordered the GF without the Ricotta cheese. It came with it. The waitress argued with me that I’m not allergic if I can have the milk the waffles are made with. I asked them to make a smaller quarter waffle since I was sharing the dish and they aren’t allergic. The waitress was extremely rude after that. Didn’t come back. Came one time to ask us if we needed anything and walked away, not waiting for an answer. Brought us the bill. I will not go back as the service was horrible. The food was also very salty.
