The chef is very aware of cross contamination and takes it very seriously, but the staff seems to have mixed awareness. I went once with no issues, but another time. I went in a large group with a set menu, and I was served soup with bread on the side. When I explained that I needed a new dish and soup, the server just removed the bread. I think it was because of the pre-set menu with the big group (30+ people). A bit disappointing, but friends of mine have gone and had no issues, and I didn’t have an issue the other time. Most of the menu items could be altered to be gluten free, but they only had ice cream as a dessert (even with the set menu and advanced notice).

Not for Coeliacs, was advised that they can’t guarantee no gluten and when they took our plates over they stated ‘low gluten’ which doesn’t help.

Great experience here. I had mentioned I’m coeliac in the booking so straight away the manager was able to explain what I could have. Delicious meal and chips prepared in a separate frier!

I went here with my husband on honeymoon and was blown away. Our server was brilliant and when I mentioned that I am allergic to gluten I was promptly told that nearly everything on the menu could be made gluten free. The server also made sure to ask the kitchen, just to double check once I’d placed my order. The olives are AMAZING! And the white chocolate cheesecake is gluten free. The waitress checked and confirmed this. It was sooooo good. Service was amazing and as it was our honeymoon we were treated to a glass of Prosecco each on the house. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. An especially good find for those who can’t tolerate gluten
