According to my celiac kid, this pizza is the most pizza like pizza around that is gluten-free. Franklin’s also doesn’t amazing job cooking all gluten-free pizzas first in the day so that there is no cross contamination. That does mean you have to order ahead but it’s worth it for the safety and the pizza!
Unfortunately I got sick after eating here 😔 Really disappointed as the pizza was delicious. They take some steps to prevent cross contamination but they still cook the pizzas on the same surface as the regular pizzas, just brush the crumbs out before putting it in first. If you are celiac I wouldn't eat here.
This has to be the best gluten-free pizza in the area. The pizza actually has a crust and its chewy. They ask if it needs preparation for celiac and take additional precautions. They make a limited number of gluten free pizzas per day so you have to reserve it a day ahead. It was quick and easy though. The restaurant has a nice outside dining area that was pleasant.
Wow. Do yourself a favor and plan ahead. Their GF crust is insane and they have wonderful pizza flavors.
They said they made the GF pizzas first to help with cross contamination.
My husband (who supports us eating GF but doesn’t need to) requested we put this place on our monthly rotation. No higher praise.
Couldn't eat here as we traveled through as they require a 24 hour notice for crust.
Ate here last night for the first time at many a friends' request (and a friend works in the restaurant). They make their own gluten-free dough and it requires 24 hours' notice to make--so worth it! They also make their own in-house sausage, bacon, etc, and their sauce rocks. Not sure if the space for GF food was dedicated but I was assured that they know what they're doing and didn't end up having a problem at all. Best crust I've had to date--chewy, a bit crispy on the bottom, tasty!
