EDIT 9/1/23- they changed their shrimp and grits recipe and it’s much spicy now so I retested it with my Nima- gluten found was the result. So bummed! The chips are fried in same fryer as gluten items according to the manager, so stay away from those.

I am a severe celiac and am a server at this restaurant. I began working here 100% because it is so incredibly GF (and vegetarian/vegan) friendly and I finally am able to eat something where I work without having to worry about getting sick from cross contamination. Separate fryers and an extremely knowledgeable kitchen staff that takes every available precaution for all allergies. Many dedicated GF dishes and desserts on the menu (not just GF subs for regular meals) and they have GF beer (NEFF brand)

I can report on 2 different tasty gf meals I have enjoyed here. The seafood tamales on the appetizer list is delicious and filling. The scallops dinner was good too. The Brussels sprouts are crunchy and wonderful.

We’ve eaten here several times and they have yet to disappoint. Every single one of the wait staff we’ve had has been knowledgeable and knew what we meant when we said my wife had celiac. This is one of her favorite places to eat and she’s never been sick. Highly recommend.

I had the shrimp and grits and they were very good, but not much for the cost. The waitress was knowledgeable of my celiac needs and let the chef know that my meal was gluten free and needed extra precautions for CC.

A large majority of their menu is made gluten free and so are their desserts. Despite what previous reviews have said, they told me they did not have dedicated fryers for gluten free or celiac needs so I didn’t risk any of the chips or fried foods. The food was delicious. Had the short ribs and the Mexican hot chocolate cheesecake for dessert and both were phenomenal. Will come again!

I ordered an appetizer with my group and the carne asada, both of which were labeled gluten free. I am the sickest I have been in a long time and I obviously was exposed to gluten. I am very disappointed because I was eager to try the food here.

Eating at Frida felt like I was back in my pre-celiac days! So many options clearly marked on the menu and a very knowledgeable staff that didn’t flinch when I asked about their allergen precautions. It’s such a welcome treat to find an establishment that I don’t have to stress about eating at and my friends/family enjoy too. It is on the pricey side, but it makes for a great celebratory dinner spot. We will be back!

Ate here with friends. They was enough gluten free options that it was hard to choice. I ended up getting the breakfast tacos. Delicious! A bit pricy but worth it.

I have celiac and I am vegan (other food allergies) and I was able to have a starter, a main dish AND dessert 🤩

They offer a special menu as well as GF & vegan items in the main menu. Staff was helpful and great with knowledge of GF and vegan options. ABSOLUTELY will be visiting again once I am back in town.

A little pricey but an amazing date night/celebratory spot. Atmosphere is aces as well.
