Review of Friedman's Kitchen + Bar

AWFUL experience at Friedman’s in NYC. It’s a chain but I will never return to any. I was at the one on 49th. I communicated I had celiac, that it was very serious, that I could not have cross contamination. I did this when I sat down, and again when I ordered. They told me the only things not safe on the menu were the flatbreads and I trusted them. I ordered the matzo ball soup. When it was placed in front of me they said “gluten free matzo ball soup.” I ate half of it. There was even a GF flag in my bread. Then our waiter came out and said the matzo balls were in fact not gluten free. I will be sick for days and will have long term effects that they did not understand. I am mortified.
