Fantastic food and experience at the Chelsea Market location end of November. The menu had tons of options for my non-GF family and nearly everything could be adapted to be GF and celiac-safe for me. I had a club sandwich with gf bread and it was delicious. Great heated, outdoor seating if you want to escape the crowds.
There are plenty of gluten free items on the menu to choose from. I had the salmon and they will swap out sides if you prefer not to have spinach. The skin was super crispy, but the rest of the fish was still cooked perfectly. We shared the cheesecake which was just heavenly. Items come with a little flag to indicate that it's absolutely gluten free. Two different beers are available too. Excellent meal and service!!
This is the Friedman’s in ChelseaMarket. Everything on the menu can be made gluten-free. My daughter with Celiac, who is very sensitive to any cross-contamination, ate safely here. She and her friend had the chicken and waffles which were so so delicious. Highly recommend and very nice service!
We got to Chelsea Market before the stores started to open so my family decided to eat here for breakfast since I saw so many good reviews, it was delicious and everyone seemed pleased. I ordered the chicken pot stickers (I know that sounds silly for breakfast but) they were so crispy and tasted amazing. Not sure what the sauce they gave me with them was but they were also delicious. 10/10
Awesome selection of gf items and delicious. The waitstaff sings broadway show tunes and it’s really loud.
I got chicken and waffles and it was extremely delicious. I went with a group of friends and everyone really enjoyed their meals. We sat in front of where they have the menu listed so it was kind of annoying to have many people constantly stopping and staring at the menu right behind us while we ate. My gluten free chicken and waffles portion size was HUGE. It is way too much for a single person to eat, I’d recommend splitting it with someone. They give you a huge cheddar belgian waffle the size of your plate and 4 large pieces of fried chicken, 2 legs and 2 breasts. Dont get me wrong it was absolutely delicious and I enjoyed every bite. We also got some Mac and cheese to share and that was so delicious as well. I could only eat half of my chicken and waffle, and I’m not someone with a small appetite. The waitress and bus boys kept trying to guilt me into getting a box for the rest of my food. We were going out and about that day, we weren’t going directly back to where we were staying so it wouldn’t make sense for me to get my food to go. It would have gone bad. However instead of being accepting of me saying no they kept pushing for me to get a box but I was firm and said no. Listen I hate wasting food and that was not my intention. If the restaurant is reading this please just make the portion size smaller and don’t harass your customers for a box when they already said no.
Fantastic! Almost everything on their menu can be made gluten free and they well and truly understand coeliac! When I ordered my meal gf I clarified that I was coeliac, he said “don’t worry, we’ve got you”! He explained that they take extra precautions for coeliac orders, cleaning down, etc and it comes out separately marked! I felt very safe and the food was amazing! I got a pastrami sandwich - YUM!
Copied my review from another Friedman’s as they were all Amazing (I am a symptomatic Coeliac)! Ate here multiple times and did not get sick at all!! They are excellent at telling you what you can and can’t have. Everything came out with a gluten free flag.
I even ate fried chicken! And fries! They have a separate fryer.
Amazing experience especially when you are worried around walking after eating
