Nice to find a place like this while traveling in NYC. Literally all but two items could be gf. My came out with a gluten free flag. A lot of dessert options too.

Yummy fried chicken and waffles! I think this was my fiat time getting both of those in a restaurant since being diagnosed.

As good as the others around the city. Got the Friedmans burger with the GF bun and herb fries. Will probably check out the pastrami next time.

My favorite place to go when I’m in the city! One of the owners is celiac so they have lots of options and they’re really good about things not becoming cross-contaminated. Have never had an issue here and I’ve been here probably ten times.

Everything on their menu (minus Matz balls & Matz ball soup) can be prepared GF. Tons of options. Had the spinach & artichoke dip (was more of a liquid than a dip) and fresh fried corn chips. Pretty bland for a $12 app, but was a huge portion. Had the fried chicken & waffle. Also bland but chicken batter was the best I’ve had in a while. Waffle was fluffy which is hard to come by for GF!! Everything GF comes marked with a orange flag!

Fantastic, hands down. So good we are here twice! The wait staff is extremely knowledgeable and ask about allergies and gluten preferences up front. All food comes out with designated gluten free flags. By far my new favorite spot in NYC. The lemon ricotta Pancakes are phenomenal.

Love Friedman’s in NYC. Almost all items on menu are gf. Not too many places to get gf pancakes and Belgian Waffles. Daughter has Celiac and she had the gf French toast. Delicious!!!

Run... don’t walk to any of the Friedman’s locations in NYC. This place is 99% GF. The only items that contain gluten is the toast/bread/buns, matzo balls, and pita bread. EVERYTHING else is GF... all the waffles, pancakes, fried chicken, fried pickles is GF. The fryer is ONLY GF! HEAVEN!!!

Go, go, go. Went three times on my visit. Everything I ate there was delicious. Started with Chicken and Waffles. Wow! Also tried the pastrami Reuben. The pot stickers were fantastic. Also tried the chicken sandwich and fries. The chicken was a little small but overall tasty. The only thing I didn’t care for was the dough on the fried pickles!

Hostess was unbelievably rude. Bartender was very nice. Ordered take out from the bartender. Got back to the hotel and the “turkey” burger was beef. The rest of the food we ordered was good and no problems for the celiacs in the group. Just not the best service.

This place was amazing. We came here on January 1st, in the evening after a show. It was not packed with people and the menu was extensive. It states on the bottom of the menu that 99% of the food can be made gluten free. I have been craving chicken and waffles and they were divine. I also shared a lemon ricotta pancake for dessert. The prices for what we ordered were steep, even for gluten free, therefore only the 4 stars. However the taste was amazing and the selection was even better.

Had the most AMAZING gluten free Mac and cheese here!! It was really decently priced and felt 100% safe eating here! Food was fabulous and since it was my birthday, I got a dessert (brownie, ice cream, hot fudge, magic shell, etc.). Totally was worth the wait (about 20-30 minutes).

WOW! I can’t believe I didn’t come here sooner. Everything on their menu can be made gf except for pita bread and matzah. There are just so many options like mac and cheese, salads, burgers, chicken and waffles, pancakes, and basically everything you can think of! We ordered two mezze plates that were delicious. Instead of pita bread, we had warm corn tortillas and tortilla chips. Everything that goes in their fryer is gluten free! And, there entire dessert menu is gluten free, including three different types of pie! All the food comes out with an orange pick that said gluten free. Best restaurant ever!!!!!

My Celiac son LOVED his fried chicken and waffle! So delicious. The restaurant is very celiac safe and about 90% of their menu is gluten free. Highly recommend. Only downer is that the dish was $27. Pretty steep for this Virginia gal. Oh well....everything is expensive in NYC.

Staff were very friendly and as soon as I mentioned I was a coeliac they knew instantly what I could/couldn’t have. Have been there twice in two days to two different Friedman’s and both 5 star, even my husband had the same as me and he said ‘we’re going back here for breakfast tomorrow’! Definitely a go to if your coeliac or even if your not.

We were in NYC for a long weekend and very happy to find this really great restaurant with a large Gluten Free menu. We found it on Find Me Gluten Free and the fact that they had a large banner sign with "Gluten Free" on it right near the door encouraged us to give it a try. Most of the menu items are already made with Gluten Free ingredients and the staff is very knowledgeable about GF options and Celiac Disease. We stopped in for a late dinerr after a show and didn't realize it was near their closing time. The staff was welcoming, made us a great meal, and didn't rush us. We'll be back next time we're in town. I wish we had found it sooner so we could have stopped in for brunch. The Brunch menu has an amazing selection of Gluten Free options.

I had the kale salad with salmon, which was delicious and just the right size. No reactions afterwards. The server said they can make all but a few items gluten free, so there are lots of choices. It’s also right across the street from the Richard Rodgers theater, so a great choice for dinner before a show!
