We’ve been here twice since my daughter’s diagnosis and both times they have taken my requests for safety precautions very seriously. Nothing is marked but the lady taking order was knowledgeable about what ingredients are in various items. Even though they don’t fully understand, they took our requests seriously. We love their BBQ and so am thankful we can continue to eat there!!!!
My third time here. Previously had the salad with pulled pork as meats are gluten free. The cashier didn’t have much of a clue about gluten, but there is a cheat sheet hanging up behind them with gluten free options -meats, salads, sauces. The salad with pulled pork is delicious and makes several meals for me. This time I branched out and tried a bowl of Brunswick stew. The ingredients looked safe. I asked the cashier if it was gluten free and her cashier friend said no because it had potatoes in it 🙄. I gave it a try and no reaction ( gluten intolerant, but I do react to gluten) . It was pretty good too, and I’m kinda snobby about my Brunswick stew. So there are options, just limited, but the options are pretty tasty !!
I am not celiac but have very strong reactions to gluten, like getting sick within 10 minutes of a contamination. Lately, Full Moon’s listed gluten free options have still gotten me sick. I understand it is a risk I take since they are not certified gluten free. Just letting everyone else out there who is as sensitive as I am, it is not safe.
I usually have good luck here. I make sure to tell them no bread because I have a gluten allergy. The bbq meat and sauce is gluten free and they do have some sides that are gluten free. Ask to make certain
I eat here all the time. The manager, Jamie, makes sure my food is not cross contaminated and he has the staff change their gloves. He informed my husband and I iwhat food is GF and how the food is prepared. He came from a big chain that trained him in celiac knowledge and food preparation.
