One of my favorites in the neighborhood. Kitchy and pleasantly unpretentious ambiance. Yummy food. Have eaten here several times with no negative results!

This used to be my favorite Indian food restaurant when I lived in NY, prior to my celiac diagnosis. I came back on a visit and ordered the chicken tikka masala. Tikka masala is usually GF, but I explained to our server that I couldn’t have gluten. He was very understanding and assured me there was no gluten. He then offered me papadam, a naturally gluten free bread/cracker that is made from chickpeas. It’s prepared in the fryer, which he said had nothing else in it. I am highly reactive, so decided to pass on the papadam, but I appreciated his knowledge and the offer. I enjoyed my tikka masala without having any exposure symptoms.
