A great place for Celiac dining! My family and I had dinner last night and they were wonderfully accommodating. According to my waiter, there is no flour in the kitchen. All the pasta is made offsite and then brought in. They offer a very extensive GF menu, including a full pasta and pizza list as well as many delicious appetizers and entrees. When we started the meal, they brought bread to the table and I was given my own GF bread and dipping oil! I had the mussels and clams with a cream/cognac broth and the veal and prosciutto. My son had the Caprese salad and the Parmesan crusted chicken. The food was fantastic and it was so nice to know that they were so knowledgeable and aware of GF/celiac issues. Highly recommend.

There are GF options on the back of the menu. The spaghetti was decent and it was sweet that they will bring you GF bread and oil.

They brought bread with oil to the table which I did not partake in. I ordered the gluten free spaghetti bolognese and they brought me out a plate with gluten free bread from a local gluten free bakery along with my own dipping oil. I didn’t even ask they just brought it out. It was all so good tasting. Will definitely go back there when we visit philadelphia again next year!!! The service was excellent!!!

Had such a great experience dining here. They confirmed that I was gf and my husband was not, then brought us each our own bread baskets with dipping oil. I think it was just a schar bagguette, but it was nice to have a bread basket at the table! They didn’t have their gf pizza crusts that day, so I was limited to the other options, but there are so many pasta dishes to choose from. Everything was delicious and I felt completely safe eating there. I’ll definitely be back!

Best Italian restaurant in the city for those with Celiac. Very knowledgeable staff. Tons of options (almost everything is GF). You can mix and match sauces, they have GF bread too. It’s BYOB as well, so very affordable. Would highly recommend!

The male hostess who was older is a total jerk. He did alllow me to be seated without a reservation. More because I think he felt sorry for me dining alone (traveling for work). They have GF bread. Lots of offerings. Had the caprese salad which was ok. The penne with beef bolognese sauce was so delicious!!!!

Incredibly warm environment. I am Celiac, but my girlfriend is not. We came across this restaurant on a busy night and they say us anyways.
We ordered gf pizza and gf pasta.
Unfortunately, mediocre. Pasta noodles were cut up in an odd way, not full length. Sauce was delicious though.
Pizza was.....I'd say unfinished.
I'm normalized to accepting what I can get from gf restaurants, but after having a few people rave about this one I was surprised.
Made some gf pasta myself later and am much happier with it. And a frozen gf pizza from sprouts was just as good.

Food was good - nearly the whole menu was GF or could be made GF. Restaurant is small and noisy plus no wine unless you bring your own bottle, so be prepared for that.

Food was fine but nothing to write home about. I like that it feels like an authentic experience and they provide you with gluten free bread- make sure you ask for it though. A different staff member had brought out regular bread to us. Bread was stale but the olive oil that comes with it was really good. Also portions are huge so that’s nice especially for the price. As someone else stated if you need your food boxed I would ask for them to bring you a to go container instead of them boxing it for you. There were bread crust crumbs all over the top of my to go box. I’m assuming they pack up food close if not in their bread area.

Highly sensitive celiac here, made a reservation and ate at Giorgio’s. Highly recommend. They brought gluten free bread with olive oil at the beginning of the meal. Ordered caprese salad, veal with eggplant and shrimp with broccoli in vodka sauce. Excellent service, generous portions and food served hot. It’s a little cozy in there but that lends itself to the fun. Multiple gf deserts, we had tartufo rolled in hazelnuts. Very good fun neighborhood type place. We’ll be back.

Went to lunch there and was blown away by how delicious the meal was. Started with some gluten free bread to dip in olive oil. Such a nice treat even if it was a Schar baguette. Got the gluten free pasta with Al's vodka sauce, baby shrimp and broccoli. Was steaming hot and tasted amazing!! I did hesitate because I thought it might not have been gluten free. It tasted that good. Lots of GF options listed in the menu. I'll definitely be back

This is one of the best Italian we have tried in Philadelphia. My partner is a sensitive Celiac and was not sick. The owner is there and take good care of the customer always asking if everything is ok. The server was also good and attentive to our request.

Great local but lively neighborhood spot in Philly.
Very busy when we arrived without a booking but we managed to get a table.
Most of the menu is GF, and they only have GF pizza bases. No regular bases at all! All pasta dishes can be made with GF pasta, and not just penne!
I had calamari to start, and then pizza. All excellent!
NB: This is a corkage eatery, so don't forget your bottle of whatever if you like a drink with your meal.
Also, the staff are lovely, very helpful.

when you go on their website, and you go to "Menus" you see "Dinner Menu" and "Gluten Free Menu" - how amazing is that! But then when you go the the restaurant in person there are actually so many more gluten free options! The items on the Gluten Free Menu are just the gluten free pasta dishes (they use Schar pasta) and pizzas. But when you look at the regular menu, EVERY SINGLE ENTREE and almost every appetizer is marked with a "gf." They even have GF dessert (chocolate cake.) ⠀ ⠀ They told me that there is no flour used in their kitchen. Yes they have regular (non gf) pasta, and yes they have regular bread. But they do not cook with any flour in their kitchen. Even the chicken parmesan is crusted with parmesan cheese instead of bread crumbs! ⠀ ⠀ My son got a pizza, and I got Veal with Lemon. They usually have GF bread from Taffets in South Philadelphia but they mentioned to me that they were out of it that evening.⠀ ⠀ A few things to note about the pizza which was delicious: 1) they use Still Riding Foods pizza crust which is one of our favorites (and you can order online) and 2) they only make GF pizza, no regular pizza, so you don't have to worry about cross contamination in the oven! Again, how amazing??!!⠀

Food was delicious and server was knowledgeable. However, I worry about cross contact, and probably wouldn’t eat here again. My leftovers were brought to me with large crumbs of bread (the real stuff) stuck on the outside of the box.

Phenomenal service! I came in for a table for 1 and they literally brought me a table to fit in the dining room for 1! It's BYOB if you want wine/alcohol. Staff was so nice, brought me gluten free bread and oil. I have the spaghetti, with beef ragout sauce. So good! I'd go back and try all the sauces. Wonderful and authentic.

I’ve eaten here many times over the last 15 years and the food never disappoints. I don’t recommend the pizza, but everything else is fresh and delicious. Every app is gluten free (recommend the grilled Caesar) and they usually have a few gluten free desserts. My go to order is the gluten free fusilli. Make a reservation- they are always booked. They do now have next door converted to a second space, which is helpful!

Pizza’s very safe to eat (no non-GF pizzas even go in the oven), but they’re unimpressive. Great if you need a place to eat safely with non-GF people, though.

How have I eaten at Giorgio for ten years and never left a review on this app?!? This is my go-to for dinner in my quarterly visits to center city Philly. Wonderful food, wonderful atmosphere, knowledgeable staff (and owner). It's a tiny kitchen and there certainly seems to be the possibility of cross-contamination, but it's always been fine for me. For a somewhat fancy Italian dinner at a reasonable price (and you must BYOB) I will be back many more times!

Since getting diagnosed with Celiac disease, I have not had a meal I enjoyed and felt as satisfied after as this one. Their entire set of entrees are gluten free, and they have a gluten free list of pizzas and pastas.
I had penne pasta with their beef ragout, and it was incredible. I also had their gluten free chocolate cake, which was delicious. I had a nice talk with Giorgio after about how appreciative I was, and he was an incredibly kind host.
I will certainly be coming back here in the future.

Received this restaurant as a recommendation from a co-worker who states his sister has Celiac and has not been ill after dining here several times. My wife has Celiac and is very sensitive to even slight cross-contamination. Now, this is an Italian Restaurant so they do have regular pasta, pizza, and bread. However all of their starters are GF and most of the entrees are as well. Great variety of GF pasta. Meal was incredible, prices are reasonable, and service was very good. My wife had no symptoms of cross-contamination. Very enjoyable experience, will definitely go back.

I am GF and DF. Lots of choices. I had the pasta with beef ragout and It was amazing. Knowledgeable staff. Highly recommend.
THIS PLACE IS A GEM. Our waitress was awesome and super honest which we Appreciated. We got the prosciutto platter which was out of this world and the plate of mussels in white. Don't forget the fact that they give you half of a gf baguette and you're out of your mind if you think I didn't ask for the other half lol. The star of the dinner is the olive oil with garlic they give you with the bread. Weirdly it wasn't given to me right away but my roommate got it with her gluten bread. I had to ask for it but they had no issues bringing it to me. Then we actually both got the same pasta dish with 12 hour braised beef and omg. I'm so happy I have leftovers. We got the flourless cake to split and the waitress enjoyed us so much she gave us a creme brulee for free in addition. Such an awesome staff and lovely experience, I can't wait to come back here and try more dishes.

Amazing GF food. Menu had a large selection of GF items that were clearly marked. Waitstaff proactively asked if anyone was gluten free prior to taking orders. Brought out a basket of GF bread. It was an enjoyable experience and the food was fantastic.
