Review of Giorgio on Pine

This place is truly amazing. The food was amazing. I sat down and the first thing the waitress asked me (after she said hello) was if I was gluten free. I told her yes and she explained the menu to me, even though it is all clearly marked (which I appreciated). she let me look it over then came back and I swear I almost cried when they brought out the bread to start. I thought it was a mistake and almost reminded her I can't eat bread, but as she set it down she told me it was gluten free and it was so good!! I had the muscles and clams in garlic cream sauce to start and it was delicious. I then had the fussili and oh my Lord it was so delicious, it even had the texture of wheat flour pasta!! The staff was VERY friendly and once I was done i asked for a box. what made the meal even more special was that I went to the bathroom and when I came back they had given me a free piece of chocolate cake. I really had to try not to cry in the restaurant. I never thought I'd be able to go out and eat bread before my meal, go out snd eat delicious pasta and Italian food. other restaurants I feel like such a bother asking for a gf menu or discussing my allergy.

I even had a potluck in my class later that night and had been dreading being surrounded by food I couldn't it, but it didn't matter because I had such a wonderful experience. it was raining all afternoon but I was beaming walking back to the train station.
