This cafe is incredible and I wish there was one in my hometown!! There are SO many gluten-free dairy-free options that it was so hard to choose what to eat. I would’ve come back every day of our trip if we would’ve stayed closer! I chose the Buddha bowl and it had so many delicious components that worked together perfectly. My kids loved being able to choose any dessert they wanted (we are gluten-free dairy-free and very rarely have the ability to have dessert at restaurants!). The staff was welcoming and the vibe of the inside and outdoor patio was peaceful and relaxing. Thank you Giving Tree for your commitment to being a healthy gluten-free cafe <3
I was traveling through town for work, and was directed to this restaurant. I was skeptical because GF, vegan and some of the food descriptions sounded too healthy to be delicious, but it was actually amazingly rich, well seasoned, and decadent. The Birria is really incredible. Highly recommend, 5 stars
Our restaurant is dedicated gluten free, vegan, soy free, seed oil free, and we are a scratch kitchen! Everything from our homemade bread, our sauces and salad dressings, to our pies is made in house!
This place is awesome! Everything is 109% vegan, 100% plant based and 100% delicious! Our kid has celiac disease and LOVES this cafe, as do we. Their bowls are so tasty and healthy, the “raps” are insane, and the desserts are out of this world (2 words: blueberry cheesecake… 2 more: cinnamon rolls). If we lived in Phoenix we’d eat thereevry Week!
This review fills our heart! We have staff members who have celiac so we know the struggle of finding delicious AND safe food! We are so happy you were able to enjoy our space of love with your family! We hope you come back next time you're nearby!
The food was all amazing. My Celiac/DF wife was in heaven and honestly I loved everything I had even though I don’t need the restrictions. The drinks (smoothie/shake/powerboost) were fantastic and the food was fantastic with no concerns. Highly recommend
So happy to have been able to share our amazing food with you! We have staff who have celiac and so we know the joy it is to share a safe meal with someone you love. Hoping you come back again soon!
I love this place, gluten free & vegan. Can’t get better than that! Lots of options for food, lunch, breakfast drinks and desserts, be hungry when you go. They have buckwheat pancakes which are so delicious. I can’t wait to go back.
Thank you Hillary for your kind words! We are so happy to serve you, and we hope to see you again soon!
Incredible choices that are all gluten-free, dairy, free, and vegan. Friendly, very friendly staff, very helpful and helping us decide what to have. I went with a celiac friend. We had: mushroom tacos, kimchi, pancake with lots of stuff on it, birria quesadilla, birria tacos. All excellent!
Lovely outside eating area with shade. Terrific music. I will come here every time I return to Phoenix.
Update March 2024:
Decided to give this place a try again, and dined in this time. It was a complete different experience and thankfully much better! The food was enjoyable, and I especially loved the Mac and “cheez” krunch wrap. Not sure what happened since last time, but I’m glad I tried it again and will now be returning more often.
All vegan & gluten free.
Previously….
“I was really excited to try this out, and did a pickup order for work. Tried a few different things, the seafood gumbo, lentil dal, and mole tacos. Was unfortunately unimpressed, and the service was not great when picking my order up.
Wish I could give a better review.”
Literally obsessed with this place. Stomach hurt before going here and after eating I felt better.. this place is healing! The owner is so sweet and passionate about the food, all original recipes and delicious! Had the kimchi crunch wrap which was amazing and nachos also delish! Was great not having to worry about cross contamination or any issues with dairy. Enjoyed the cardamom rose pie for dessert! Love this place so much I will prob go tomorrow before my flight it’s that good!!
I always love this place. It’s such a calming atmosphere and the servers are always so nice. And aside from the fact that everything is gluten free, i always feel like a million bucks after I eat here. It’s all vegan, but I still think the flavors are great if you order the right thing
It’s totally safe for celiac. Totally dedicated GF kitchen, and everything is made from scratch. They even pride themselves on their high quality water that they use to make their recipes. However, there’s some drawbacks to this place. Service is very slow. We were here on a Monday morning and there weren’t many people and it took around 20 minutes to get our drinks. I only ordered a glass of water, for reference. Another thing to note is the food is very… mediocre. It’s safe, sure; albeit a little bland. The texture isn’t great, and the breakfast Krunch Rap I ordered had to be smothered in ranch to make it palatable. It’s an okay place to eat. My wife’s pancakes were good
This place is incredible. Well worth finding and stopping in. I had the Mediterranean Krunch Rap and the Golden Tea. Sublime! The flavors are amazing. Even tried the cacao dessert, which was heavenly. My celiac friend was able to eat everything—and what a treat to know it’s all organic and safe to eat!
100% GF, vegan, healthy but very tasty & well-composed. We had potato soup, chili, and the jalapeño mac & cheese crunch wrap, all of which were savory, hearty dishes. The faux candy bars are excellent, especially the Butterfinger. The cheese cake is creamy and delicious with nice coconut richness. No refined sugar, so nothing is too sweet. But everything is tasty as well as healthy & clean. Service was slow, but kind and careful. Just budget extra time to eat here and enjoy the vibe. This would be my regular joint if I lived here.
I was happy to try this place. It’s called a cafe so I assumed it’s open for breakfast but they don’t open until 10:30. I waited 35 minutes for them to open only to discover that it’s a vegan place. 😖 I ordered food anyway since we waited so long but I was not a fan. It was expensive and the food was so-so.
Went out of our way to try this place since it’s gluten free, only to discover they cook everything in coconut oil. I’m allergic to coconut oil so I was unable to try anything. I wanted to post this for anyone else who’s allergic to coconut oil. They offered to make oil and vinegar for a salad dressing but I was afraid to try that. I just kept thinking if they cook everything in coconut oil, why would they have another kind of oil and then I was afraid to try it. Couldn’t keep the tears from falling, I was so disappointed and frustrated… dang celiac disease
Strange menu - they had trouble making Korean BBQ wrap so I ended up cancelling the order. Portions are small (quiche) and expensive.
BUT at least it is GF and vegan. So you can get a "safe meal".
Personally I think they need a little more experience and education on serving this type of food. Maybe visit Farmers Markets for ideas.
Had the Big Max, my partner had the chili and a Buddha bowl that I tried as well. Everything was amazing! Even got a brownie to go!
This is my favorite restaurant in Phoenix. Everything is gluten-free, soy-free, Vegan and organic. I’ve never had a bad reaction after eating here and their food (and desserts) are amazing!! Great vibe too.
