I have celiac and am so grateful for this restaurant! Especially love the fish sandwich for lunch. Menu is varied, with lots of delicious choices, and also many bakery items. Nice and clean; fresh atmosphere and decor. They close mid-afternoon; I wish they were open later.
GF breakfast and lunch is so rare it was a fantastic way to start a day. Only regret, I didn't see if I could order lunch to go for later.
dedicated gf facility! So yummy! great service! Biscuits and gravy and waffles and pancakes and deliciousness! I love it here!
Picked up quick breads and focaccia for a camping trip, and they were delicious. Staff was helpful and kind.
Amazing. Took forever to decide because I couldn't believe how many options I had to choose from. Even the gluten waters in our party were impressed. A destination eatery for sure if you are anywhere near Tuscon
Really good sandwich and salads, breads tasty and moist. We had lunch there, yummy, and took out a bunch of goodies to survive the first part of our Arizona visit. The pecan rolls are "to die for" and the cupcakes some of the best I've had in 20 years!
fantastic food. I had the chicken fried steak. flavored water. non celiac boyfriend had the pancake sandwich with bacon instead of sausage. he liked his food as well. tried the donut hole with bacon and cream filling. rich and yummy.
I love this bakery! As a celiac, it's difficult to give up gluten filled foods. I've had blueberry pancakes, pecan pie, coconut cream pie, English muffins, and chicken salad here. All amazing! In addition, they made me a custom coconut cake for my birthday. It is the best birthday cake I have ever had, gluten cakes included. Everyone who tried it loved it. Thank you so much for making my birthday so amazing!
wonderful biscuits and gravy. Not had that for a long time.
Very glad we made it here on our trip to Tucson. This is one of the largest dedicated GF restaurants I've ever been to (seating wise). Had the Sonoran Wrap which was delicious! Also, the sweet potato fries were the best. Plus had a delicious mimosa. Bought lots of baked goods to take home ... liked the two vegan cupcakes (one chocolate with cherry) and the blueberry and pumpkin breads the best. Highly recommend this place ... it's a must stop if you're in Tucson! Met the owner, Hector and another female worker who is numerous allergies. This place is outstanding. Will definitely go back if in Tucson again!
Phenomenal food!!! We were in Tucson for the day (from the valley), and stopped here. My daughter has celiac. There are SO many choices, and the bakery stuff is so fun and delicious!!! If I didn't have to drive so far, I would've had a prickly pear margarita. Maybe next time! Well done gourmet girls!!!
The food was excellent. They were very busy but the service was friendly and prompt.
Super!!! Gourmet Girls is a treat for anyone looking to enjoy a delicious meal out - whether or not he/she has gluten concerns. Our daughter has Celiac Disease & it was such a joy to see her excitement at being able to order anything she saw in the bakery case &/or on the menu. Highly recommend!!
Excellent food! I had chicken fried steak with sausage gravy. Haven't had that in years.
SO AMAZINGLY GOOD! We were giddy with good GF choices and overjoyed with the delicious delivery. If you eat gluten free and are within a 50 mile radius you must go!
I was not expecting to see this place in Tucson and it was an amazing surprise. I ordered some of their deserts and food and it was amazing. I highly recommend the prickly pear lemonade and the cinnamon roll both are delicious. Will be coming back for sure
The absolute best GF restaurant I have ever been to. Reasonable prices, excellent service from Hector "The Protector" and the food is outstanding! Haven't eaten a breakfast burrito in years, and this was yummy+!!!
Everything was very tasty. As most of the other reviews stated, it can be a bit pricey, but worth it, especially if you have a little one that needed something good to eat.
awesome! server was very knowledgeable..the gluten free mimosas were just as awesome as the food! :)
Everything is amazing. You'd never know it's gluten free. They are NOT currently open Friday and Saturday nights - always check their Facebook page for updates for their hours of operation.
Burrito was really good... Tortilla wasn't the easiest thing to pick up, but very tasty so I'm willing to give up some of the chewiness. Glad to see there's a dedicated gf restaurant in Tucson!
Had a wonderful breakfast! Many dairy free offerings, on top of everything being GF.
All the women in my family are gluten sensitive and my granddaughter is celiac. This is the ONLY place in Tucson where we don't have to carefully look at the menu and grill the staff. The entire place is GF. The food is good too
The food is consistently good. You wouldn't know this is a dedicated gluten free restaurant if they didn't tell you on their signs. If you have celiac, like my 9 year old daughter this place is amazing, allowing us to freely share our food with no worries about gluten. If you don't need to eat gluten free you should still check it out because the food is great. I only wish I could transplant Gourmet Girls to the Seattle area.
Outstanding!!! I have been here multiple times and each visit is a treat. The cinnamon roll French toast is to die for. My husband and sister are not GF ( I have celiac) and enjoyed their meals thoroughly. I highly recommend eating here. The lunch menu is also great. I have picked up the lemon cake and carrot cake for gatherings and they please everyone.
Delicious and so wonderful not to have to drill all the employees about cross-contamination! My daughter was thrilled to be able to order from the entire menu.
Amazing! Hector and other staff were delightful and so helpful. Everything I had was amazing and my husband also loved it even though he does not have allergies. If you are in Tucson you must go, I wish I had a place like this near me!
Awesome and 100% GF. Tried multiple things throughout our stay: cinnamon roll (more of a cake; but yum!); cupcakes; magic bar; "Twinkie"; and lemon loaf. Plus several sandwiches. Everything was great. It's a small place, so if you dine in, it might take a little longer than you would expect - but definitely worth the wait.
I was excited to find a place that was so gluten friendly, but everything they have and made me was something I could make at home a little bit better and not as expensive. The waiting staff was not that great but the manager fixed their mess ups.
Very tasty restaurant but could give bigger portions (potatoes, etc).
I work here as a baker! I see the hard work, love, and excellence that goes into making this place be a safe haven for those with celiac disease, gluten intolerance, and other food allergies and sensitivities. The food is so yummy! If you have yet to come, you are in for a treat :)
Good English muffin but service was slow. It took almost 30 minutes to get our food at breakfast on a Saturday.
Went in today to grab some baked goods and was thoroughly disappointed. The bread was as dry and the desert and the cheesecake was like cardboard. Not my favorite. We decided to toss our purchases and make brownies from scratch, as what we procured wasn't delicious. The meals served in house might be wonderful (no first hand experience) but the baked goods certainly were not. Edited to add: 20 minutes later, wife and I both have serious indigestion. I don't think we'll be coming back.
I finally got biscuits and gravy back! Not to mention cake!!!! I cannot thank this place enough for giving me back the right to pick anything on a menu, to follow my tastebuds, and to enjoy eating out judgement free!!
I had the pulled pork, and the focaccia bread was nice and soft. Wife had the tuna melt and it was all fresh and delicious. Our server was Hector, whom we've seen mentioned in other reviews (with good cause - he's friendly and definitely a guy that enjoys his job). Friendly, good food in a quick casual setting.
Soft bread. Bakery and restaurant. Completely gluten-free.
Firstly- amazing service. I bought two everything bagels and one of the owners offered to toast it for me (my husband and I had a 7 hour drive ahead of us). She mentioned that her breads and bagels are best toasted. Also got a B&W cookie and a peanut butter bar that is so amazing. This is a great bakery!
Amazing food, I especially love their breakfast selections!
This place is to die for!!
Wonderful wonderful experience. Great food ( we had biscuits and gravy and the quiche and took some baked goods to go), and great service (Sherri and Hector were so helpful and accommodating ). We live in Phoenix and decided to try it based on the ratings and they deserve every star of their stellar 5 star rating. We will be back any time we are in Tucson.
Great place that can't be missed if you visit Tucson. Very disappointed they were closed Saturday night when I arrived the second time.
This gem is a bakery featuring homemade gluten-free baked goods and breakfast items served daily.
My husband found this place and special ordered a gluten free and dairy free chocolate cake with chocolate frosting with cherry filling for my birthday. It was AMAZING - everyone liked it (which meant I had to share, but that was okay). I have had their cookies and this morning I had biscuits and sausage gravy for the first time in years and it was heavenly. My husband can eat anything and has become quite the gf food critic and LOVED his gf pancakes. At first our service was a bit ify, but once we moved to Hector's section it was superb and the management came and made everything else good. Even though we live on the other side of Tucson about an hour away, we will be back. Next time for dinner. Be sure to ask for Hector!
Very good, had the pastrami Reuben on rye!
The food is awesome and the staff is super friendly. This is THE place in Tucson for gluten-free meals for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
OMG. I am from Chicago and just had a late breakfast at Gourmet Girls. I am Celiac and do not eat out often due to no choices or contamination. I guess I will have to move here if I want to enjoy a great gf meal out again. Everything on the menu is gf and if it is your first time good luck trying to make a choice. I suggest one of everything may work. My husband does not have to worry about gluten and he enjoyed his breakfast. They also have fresh gf bakery items so I stocked up on what I could take on my flight later today. BTW the staff is wonderful and friendly
It was amazing to be able to go here and order whatever I wanted without any worry. Everything was delicious as well!!
This restaurant is fabulous! The staff is very sweet and sensitive to each customer's diet issues. They patiently listen and make suggestions. When I arrived for dinner I was brought a bowl of rolls. I asked if they were dairy free and was told no, so the server immediately brought me some dairy free bread with soy free butter. I ordered the crab cakes (see photo) and a salad without cheese and was offered avocado instead. The food was great and the service was excellent. The prices are reasonable and if I lived in Tucson I would be here daily! They recently got a license to serve wine and gluten free beer. Definitely worth the visit.
Absolutely amazing desserts, exceptional food, and even better service. We can't eat out many places and these people treat you like family... Amy, you are a great asset the this place!!
